A new report recently hit the web speculating that the upcoming, third-generation 2025 Buick Enclave will shrink with regard to exterior dimensions. The report bases its conclusions on a recent set of spy photos showing a camouflaged 2025 Buick Enclave prototype. However, according to GM Authority sources, the report is inaccurate in speculating the next-gen crossover will be smaller than the current model.
According to the recent report, it’s speculated that the upcoming 2025 Buick Enclave may be closer to the Cadillac XT6 in terms of exterior dimensions. For the sake of reference, the current Buick Enclave measures in with an overall length of 204.8 inches, while the Cadillac XT6 is 198.5 inches long. The current Buick Enclave has a wheelbase length of 120.9 inches, while the current Cadillac XT6 has a wheelbase length of 113 inches. Both models ride on the GM C1 platform, although the XT6 rides on the regular-wheelbase platform variant, whereas the Buick Enclave rides on the long-wheelbase platform variant.
Despite the speculation put forth in the new report, GM Authority sources indicate that the next-generation 2025 Buick Enclave will continue to be similar to the current Buick Enclave and Chevy Traverse in terms of underpinnings and dimensions.
General Motors recently teased the new exterior design for the next-gen 2025 Buick Enclave via a series of design sketches. The sketches show exterior styling that takes cues from the 2022 Buick Wildcat EV concept, including thin upper lighting elements in the fascia, Y-shaped trim around the lower grille section, and chiseled, geometric shapes, not to mention Buick’s latest Tri-Shield logo.
Prototype units of the 2025 Buick Enclave have been spotted in public before, showing off a few small styling bits, despite heavy camouflage in place to obscure the new look. GM Authority has also exclusively reported details regarding the overhauled interior, which is set to include a wide digital screen mounted on top of the dash. Under the hood, expect to find the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine. We’ve also rendered what the next-gen crossover might look like.

I hope it retains some details that make it stand out from the crowd, namely a modern version of the traditional Buick ventiports/portholes/chrome vent
I’m actually looking forward to this vehicle. The outgoing and previous Enclave was almost minivan-like comfortable in the 3rd-row. I expect no difference with this vehicle. I do wonder what the plan is for the XT6 now.
Honestly, I think the Buick has been the best suv to use this platform. Soft ride, huge space, few luxuries inside. Hope they don’t change too much. And from what I’ve heard, xt6 is nomore as of 2024 an will be replaced by Cadillac vistiq in 2026
We’ve been buying the enclave since 2015 model year every 3 years. I started buying this platform in 2012 with the GMC Acadia before it was shrunk down. I found the traverse and Acadia to be a mixed bag of bare bones and cheaper feeling plastics and features. I didn’t like how they did the various packages. Buick you could since 2008 pretty much buy the base model and get most of everything. I didn’t buy the base model myself but it was very tempting to buy two of them one base other cxl or later avenir. The seating materials and just enough premium or luxury features at a more reasonable price than say caddy or the others. The bonus is Buick has been the most reliable brand or one of for gm since 2008 2010 or so. Hard to beat such a nice three row SUV. It had more space than the Tahoe’s until 2021 redesign. Family of seven here but the Tahoe’s burbans are way too much money new for cheap Chevy or GMC interiors. Anyways yea the only third row SUV to get close to this beast on specs is the new Grand Cherokee l but again stellantis stuff doesn’t last at all and feels cheap. Ford exploder isn’t as good either plus who wants to drive a mall cop or public vehicle you see everywhere? My main concern with all the forced cafe green eco crap was the smaller engine and that they might downsize the interior like the Acadia and caddy xt6. Good that they aren’t because I would be shopping for something else. No way am I paying near or at 60k for a 5 or 6 seat baby minivan that can’t fit a large TV or a sheet of drywall.
Hate to break it to you, but the Enclave, Traverse and Acadia (first generation) are all made in the same plant on the same line, one after the other. They are built with the same materials, engines, driveline compnents and interchangeable parts and trim pieces (with minor asthetic differnces). To say one is more reliable or better quality than the other is nothing but imagined perception based on their $$$$$ MSRP difference. From the cheapest Traverse, to the most expensive Enclave, they all cost GM virtually the same amount to build…
How reductionist. Yes as I stated we dipped into the models via the Acadia back in 2011/2012. It along with the Saturn Chevy and Buick were quite similar in size with minor differences besides the quality of materials and features. Acadia was soon after shrunk down and they came out with the caddy XT6. I’ve had plenty of experiences with the traverse acadia and enclave since 2008 and there are noticeable differences. If it was as simple as a rebadge with no real upgrade you would have a point. The Toyota avalons I’ve had are not the same as a lexus. A RTX 4060 is not the same as a 4090. Yes Buick is one of GMs more reliable brands and has been since around 2010. It’s all good though what you’re saying is just common sense. It doesn’t need saying. We all know vertical production chains, especially with large corporations where proctor and gamble will have gain tide and other various names on the same shelf but they are all slightly different. Water is wet.
It remains to be seen with more imports from Korea and China on the Buicks Chevy and other lines if that trend will continue. Korean brands have been quite terrible over the years so we shall see.
