Hennessey Launches 708-HP H700 C8 Corvette Stingray Convertible

Back in February 2023, GM Authority reported that Hennessey Performance Engineering had released the H700 package for the C8 Corvette Stingray. Unfortunately, this supercharger kit was only available for Corvette Coupe models, thus leaving owners of Corvette Convertible units out of the fun. Now, Hennessey was rectified this void with the expansion of the H700 package C8 Corvette Convertible models.

Boosting power by a healthy 44 percent, Corvette examples outfitted with the 6.2L V8 LT2 gasoline engine can see output figures jump to 708 horsepower and 638 pound-feet of torque, a notable bump over the Corvette Z06‘s 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque from the naturally aspirated 5.5L V8 LT6 gasoline engine.

Of course, the upgrades aren’t limited to the blower. The H700 package includes various pieces to maximize horsepower, including an air-to-water intercooler, a high-flow air induction system, upgraded fuel system, a cat-back exhaust system, Hennessey engine and transmission calibration, as well as all the necessary gaskets and fluids. Special badging and a serial number plaque are also standard equipment.

Additionally, there are also some optional upgrades available, including an active-valve exhaust system, forged 19-inch alloy wheels, and a unique livery. Interestingly, the rollers are offered in a gloss black, matte gunmetal, or satin silver finish.

“Our supercharged C8 Convertible boosts America’s favorite sports car to extraordinary performance levels,” Hennessey Founder and CEO John Hennessey stated. “We’ve unleashed the power that Chevy left on the table, boosting output by more than 200 bhp. Few cars, especially at this price, can deliver this level of power, acceleration, and engaging open-air driving experience alongside the Corvette’s distinctive V8 roar.”

Available for 2020 to 2024 Corvette Stingray Convertible models, this power package is backed by a three-year / 36,000-mile limited warranty. For more information, be sure to check out Hennessey Performance.

  1. That’s awesome 👍…it’s nice to see Chevy and Ford still using V8 engines in their performance cars. Dodge could have kept the challenger as a performance model but that’s what happens when your owned by a foreign company… especially European who seems to be suddenly all in on the EV bandwagon GM should have merged with Chrysler image hemi V8 and small blocks together it probably would have been the ultimate 8 cylinder engine and I also think that Jeep would have a real SUV Cherokee not a crossover. Anyway I like this Corvette good job Hennessy 👍
