GMC Acadia Average Transaction Price Drops 3 Percent In Q4 2023

Standing as one of GMC‘s more affordable products, the GMC Acadia is also one of Big Red’s more popular offerings. That being said, the average transaction price of the Acadia dipped more than three percent over the course of Q4 2023.

According to a report from Cox Automotive, the GMC Acadia saw a year-over-year 3.3-percent decline in average transaction prices to $45,984 in Q4 2023. Meanwhile, sales of the crossover dropped almost 23 percent to 10,774 units during the same timeframe.

It’s worth noting that GMC sales fell 6.5 percent to 134,296 units in Q4 2023, while overall General Motors sales stood at a 0.2 percent gain to 619,684 units.

As a reminder, the GMC Acadia is set to boast an all-new generation for the 2024 model year. Starting with the exterior, the next-gen Acadia will be longer, wider and taller than the current 2023 Acadia, and will feature a fresh design theme all around. Thanks in large part to this increase in physical stature, maximum seating capacity will stand at seven or eight passengers, depending on configuration.

Moving to the interior, a 15-inch infotainment screen will pair with a standard 11-inch diagonal driver information center, which itself includes goodies like Google built-in and nine available camera views. Additional tech and safety bits will consist of Forward Collision Alert, Following Distance Indicator, and Rear Park Assist, among others. The GM Super Cruise autonomous driver assistance system will also be on offer.

All-New 2024 GMC Acadia

As GM Authority was first to report, every 2024 Acadia unit will be equipped with the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine, rated at 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque, along with the GM eight-speed automatic transmission.

Under the body panels, the third-gen Acadia transitions to the long-wheelbase variant of the GM C1 platform, which now features technologies like the GM Global B electrical architecture. Production will take place at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan, and is currently scheduled to kick off on March 4th, 2024.

  1. If true, why never say the new Acadia is the same size in and out of the Traverse? Is there a Hybrid in the works for the Suburban/Traverse style models?
