GM China sales decreased nine percent to 2,098,980 units during the complete 2023 calendar year. Sales decreased at all five brands marketed by GM in the Asian country, including Buick, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Baojun and Wuling.
Gm states that new energy vehicles (NEVs) posted strong growth momentum, accounting for more than a quarter of total deliveries in 2023 across all brands. Both the Ultium platform and SAIC-GM-Wuling’s GSEV platform continued to scale up thanks to expanded lineups, with new entries quickly growing in popularity. GM will continue its intensive NEV launch cadence in China in 2024.
