According to a report from Cox Automotive, the Chevy Traverse saw a 1.3-percent decline in average transaction price to $44,834. Meanwhile, sales of the Bow Tie crossover dropped more than 17 percent to 22,556 units in Q4 2023.

As a reminder, Chevy Traverse is marked by an all-new generation for the 2024 model year that includes extensive changes to the exterior design, interior appointments, safety goodies, and powertrain specifications. Starting with the new look, the 2024 Traverse is highlighted by Chevy’s “High Brow” design language, as well as a more truck-inspired front fascia with dual-tier headlights. Additional elements include forward-leaning C-pillars and bright chrome quad exhaust tips.

On the inside, the cabin features the standard 17.7-inch diagonal color infotainment touchscreen, along with a redesigned steering wheel, more interior space, improved ergonomics, new colorways, and higher-quality materials.

Moving to the safety side, the 2024 Traverse is notable for including the Chevy Safety Assist (RPO code PED) package as standard fare, which includes the following (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):

Under the skin, the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine, GM-rated at 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque, is now standard across the model lineup, while the GM eight-speed automatic transmission serves as the only transmission choice. FWD is standard and AWD is optional.

In regard to structure, the next-gen Traverse rides on a revised version of the long-wheelbase variant of the GM C1 platform, which now incorporates upgrades like the Global B digital architecture. Production is currently scheduled to kick off in February 2024 at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan.

    1. Mike I ordered an RS on January 4th. I was at the Toronto Auto Show yesterday. I saw a 2024 Traverse RS. It was locked! You were not allowed in the vehicle. “Preproduction vehicle”. A major disappointment.

  2. Where can I see a dealer order form for the 2024 Traverse? The Z71 Traverse needs a Sport Package option with 20” wheels.

  3. My wife and I just bought a 2023 Traverse Premier. Traded our ’22 Blazer. My wife really liked the Blazer but missed her 2020 Traverse. With the new Traverse coming and no V6 offered, thought we’d better get one with a V6 while the getting was good.
    She loves it.
