Chevy Trailblazer Average Transaction Price Up 1.3 Percent In Q4 2023

Completing General Motors’ one-two punch in the subcompact crossover segment alongside the all-new 2024 Chevy Trax, the Chevy Trailblazer is designed for consumers looking for a little all-terrain action from their small crossover. Now, the average transaction price (ATP) of the Trailblazer rose more than one percent throughout Q4 2023.

According to a report from Cox Automotive, the Chevy Trailblazer saw a 1.3-percent ATP rise to $28,594. In contrast, sales of the entry-level crossover dipped over two percent to 18,535 units during Q4 2023.

It’s worth noting that Chevy sales fell 0.5 percent overall to 406,848 units in Q4 2023. Meanwhile, General Motors sales overall stood at a 0.2 percent gain to 619,684 units.

Side profile of Chevy Trailblazer.

As a reminder, the Chevy Trailblazer received a mid-cycle refresh for the 2024 model year that ushered in a redesigned front fascia, an overhauled interior, new wheel designs, and a plethora of new standard features.

Among the standard features is a long list of safety goodies, which includes Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Following Distance Indicator, and Forward Collision Alert. Adaptive Cruise Control is optional.

Under the hood, the Chevy Trailblazer comes standard with the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine, rated at 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, while the turbocharged 1.3L I3 L3T engine, rated at 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque, is offered as an option. Models equipped with the LIH engine and units with the L3T engine and FWD are matched to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). 1.3L engines with optional AWD get the GM nine-speed automatic transmission.

Regarding structure, the Trailblazer rides on the GM VSS-F vehicle set shared with the Chevy Trax and the two Buick subcompact crossovers. The big difference between the Trailblazer and the Trax is the availability of all-wheel drive and the L3T engine in the Trailblazer. The more affordable Trax comes exclusively with the LIH engine and front-wheel drive. Production for the North American market takes place at the GM Bupyeong plant in South Korea.

  1. Sales dipped and transaction prices went up because you can’t find a ’24 to save your life. Clever, GM, limiting production. I assume the Trax is next.

  2. Trade is cannibalizing Trailblazer sales unless you want 4 wheel drive. Many Trailblazers on lots in my area, virtually no Trace.

  3. Trax not Trade.
