About Chevy Equinox

The 2024 Chevy Equinox arrives with only a handful of updates and changes prior to the debut of an all-new fourth generation. For example, pricing for the 2024 Chevy Equinox shows that the LT trim rises by $1,795 and the RS trim by $250, both due to new packages now included as standard. Check out complete 2024 Equinox pricing with options.

As before, front-wheel drive is included as standard across the trim level lineup, with all-wheel drive offered as an optional upgrade. Motivation for the 2024 Equinox comes from the new-for-2023 turbocharged 1.5L I4 LSD gasoline engine, which produces 175 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque.

Here’s everything that’s new and different for the 2024 Chevy Equinox.

In August, the Chevy Equinox was praised for ease of child seat installation and noted for having top-quality seats.

Last month, GM unveiled the all-new 2025 Chevy Equinox, debuting its best-selling crossover’s latest fourth generation. Highlights include larger screens in the cabin, additional safety features, and the new-for-2025 Activ trim level, offering a more-rugged setup for outdoorsy activities. The 2025 Chevy Equinox is wider and taller than the 2024 model, with a slightly more spacious interior. However, the all-new model offers the same turbocharged 1.5L gasoline engine as before, with its powertrain placing it mid-pack among competitors.

Production of the 2025 Equinox is currently scheduled to commence on May 20th.

  1. And it’ll just keep going higher until the 2025 is well-established.
Problem is that my local dealers are asking more today than they were in November. Which means that “hidden incentives” are lower.

  2. When can I purchase an EV Equinox?

    1. 2030 if GM has any sense.

  3. They mark them up $2,500 then give you a $2,500 discount.

    1. On some, yes, but not these babies.

  4. I purchased a 2024 during the last week of December and the dealer discounted our new Equinox $2890 and we had rebates of $2240 because of $1000. GM dollars, financing rebate of $500 with 1.9% along with a teacher rebate of $500 and my Chevy rewards of $240.

Plus they cut the dealer fee by $774 because I am a teacher.
I purposely wanted a 2024 because I knew the 25s were coming and I knew the dealers would be willing to deal.

I was very pleased with the deal on our 2024 after trading in our 2019 Equinox that I only had maintenance done at this dealer and no repairs after 45000 miles.

    1. I was wrong in my post above. Local dealers are now advertising the ’24s at a flat $7000 off sticker. Should have waited. Prob be $10K off come April.

    2. I have a 2019 Equinox with only 18K on it and am considering trading to a 2024. I really like the lines on the 2024. Not totally sold on the 2025. Can you give me a “ballpark” on what you got for trade on yours.
Owned a 2013 Equinox previously and really love the Equinox.

      Thanks,

  5. I would rather pay an extra 2,500 to get a real engine. Stop this 4-cyl nonsense

    1. Not. Gonna. Happen.

      1. I know, this is why I’ll never buy one. I’ll never buy a 4cyl, ever. Could be the best vehicle in the world in every other regard, but power matters to me.

They should at least offer as an option to upgrade.

  6. I purchased in December because all the warranties were off my 2019 and I did not want to put any money into it. Our equinox is our around town car and the 1.5 4 cylinder gets 30 mpg so the 4 cylinder is not an issue. Our trip car is my 2001 Tahoe with the 5.3L V-8 that will perform every task I want it to do. Nothing like a V-8 for get up and go with effortless performance.
