The Chevy Bolt EV and Chevy Bolt EUV earned the Small Car Loyalty Award in the 2023 S&P Global Mobility Automotive Loyalty Awards, according to the data analysis company.
The automotive research firm measures loyalty on the basis of existing new vehicle owners subsequently buying another vehicle of the same make, model or manufacturer. The 2023 Automotive Loyalty Awards examined purchasing data from the calendar period of January 2023 to December 2023. Loyalty is determined when a household that owns a new vehicle purchases another new vehicle of the same make, model, or manufacturer. The new vehicle may be a replacement vehicle or a new addition to the household’s garage.
The Chevy Bolt EV and Bolt EUV are repeat winners in the Small Car segment, having also earned the honors in 2022 and 2021. That means that customers who already own a new Bolt EV or Bolt EUV tend to be loyal to the small battery electric vehicle, often purchasing another when they return to the market.
Meanwhile, other General Motors vehicles also won their respective segments in the 2023 Loyalty Awards. The GMC Sierra 2500/3500 scored the win in the Heavy Duty Pickup segment, while the Cadillac CT5 earned the top spot in the Luxury Small Car division. GM itself was recognized for exceptional consumer loyalty, winning the 2023 Overall Loyalty to Manufacturer Award.
As a reminder, production of the current-gen Bolt EV and Bolt EUV is officially through, as the last units rolled off the assembly line at the GM Lake Orion plant in Michigan on December 20th, 2023. The Bolt EV isn’t gone for good, however. A next-gen model, which will be based on the 2023 Bolt EUV, is in the works.

The Bolt is clearly the easiest EV to live with.
The Bolt is one of the only EVs out there that will save owners money from day 1 of ownership. It’s a fantastic little vehicle.
I do love my Bolt EUV but I hope GM is smart enough to reposition the charge port to the passenger side front corner. This would allow easier use of Tesla chargers, and it also would be positioned on the sidewalk side when parking, for those locations that have roadside charger locations.
You guys with Bolt EVs. How much are you paying for insurance compared to ICE vehicles you’ve owned?
My EUV insurance is cheaper than my Subaru Forester.
