Finding the right aftermarket wheel upgrade for the Chevy Silverado HD can be tricky given the truck’s eight-lug hub design. However, Vossen Wheels is aiming to make the decision a bit easier with its new HFX-1 wheel series. Now, we’re checking out this upgraded Chevy Silverado HD to see what the HFX-1 looks like on the ground.
Coming to us from the Vossen Wheels social media feed, the photo set was captured in Miami, Florida, and shows the heavy-duty pickup parked under an overpass that’s under construction. The truck is finished in white paint and includes a selection of black details and trim, while the wheels are finished in Terra Bronze, adding a nice splash of (subtle) color to the look. With its polished bumpers and blacked-out windows, the truck certainly looks imposing, while the wheels are wrapped in knobby rubber. The truck also stands tall thanks to a substantial lift, adding even more visual impact to the look.
The new Vossen HFX-1 wheels are available in a variety of different sizes, including diameters between 17 and 24 inches, and widths between 9 inches and 12 inches. Eight-lug sizes are available in 22-inch and 24-inch wheel diameters, with the late-model Chevy Silverado HD requiring an 8×180 bolt pattern. Custom sizing and offsets are also offered. As for colors and finishes, the Vossen HFX-1 is available in a wealth of different options, including Matte Gunmetal, Gloss Black, Silver Polished, Satin Black, and Tinted Gloss Black, as well as Terra Bronze, as mentioned previously.
As for the truck seen here, this particular example is from the pre-2024-refresh model line. The exterior is covered in Summit White paint, while under the hood, you’ll find the 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax engine, which, prior to the 2024 model-year refresh, was rated at 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque.
