While the Cadillac Escalade stands as the pinnacle of the Caddy lineup, underneath the luxury SUV’s exterior lies much of the capability of a pickup truck. With this in mind, here’s a breakdown on 2024 Cadillac Escalade towing capacities.
Before we begin, here’s a refresher on the Escalade’s powertrain lineup. Engine options include the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, rated at 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, and the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax, rated at 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, and the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 engine, rated at 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque.
The GM 10-speed automatic transmission is mated to all powerplants, while both 2WD and 4WD configurations are on offer. In addition, all trim levels feature a 3.23 axle ratio.
With that taken care of, here’s the breakdown on 2024 Cadillac Escalade towing capacities.

As a reminder, the Cadillac Escalade rides on the GM T1 platform, which it shares with the Chevy Tahoe, Chevy Suburban, GMC Yukon, and GMC Yukon XL. Meanwhile, production of the 2024 model year kicked off in November 2023 at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.
