General Motors officially unveiled the 2026 Cadillac Vistiq early last year, debuting the luxury marque’s all-new, all-electric three-row crossover. The debut included just a few shots of the crossover’s exterior, providing us with a tantalizing taste of the vehicle’s styling. Pictures of the interior, however, were notably absent, but now, GM Authority spy photographers have captured the 2026 Cadillac Vistiq interior with the following photo series.
Looking over the new 2026 Cadillac Vistiq interior spy photos, one thing becomes immediately obvious – the cabin layout features very few hard buttons. Instead, the layout looks to be streamlined and simplified, incorporating a wide, horizontal digital display on top of the dash. The wide screen is similar to that of the Cadillac Lyriq, but unlike the Lyriq, the Vistiq does not include an array of hard buttons on the center console.
Also notable is the HVAC Control panel, which is likely the same or similar to those in the Cadillac Celestiq as well as Cadillac Escalade IQ. In fact, the entire center console looks to be quite similar between the three models:
The dearth of hard buttons and switches is likely a move to imitate Tesla’s interior layout, and could possibly help to reduce the number of microchips required to assemble each vehicle as well. More broadly speaking, the entire auto industry is moving towards infotainment screen controls in lieu of traditional buttons and switches.
It should also be noted that the 2026 Cadillac Vistiq will incorporate Cadillac’s version of GM’s new Google-based infotainment system, and will not offer Android Auto or Apple CarPlay support.
Further highlights in the cabin include a multi-spoke steering wheel with thumb-length buttons at the 9 o’clock and 3 o’clock positions, likely identical to that used in the Lyriq. The steering wheel is wrapped in a premium material, and also includes a glossy strip along the upper side of the wheel, the latter of which indicates the presence of the GM Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assist system.
The center console also features a “floating” aesthetic, enabling a sizable storage compartment below it.
Motivation will be derived from GM Ultium batteries and GM Ultium Drive motors, with a two-motor setup expected to dole out around 500 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. The GM BEV3 platform provides the bones, while production will kick off at the GM Spring Hill plant next year.

Please give us buttons! This was one area GM excelled compared to other OEMs. No gimmicks with the interfaces. Please keep it that way.
Agreed. Sad to see the HVAC control move into the angled display.
I think a lot of this is probably Cadillacs desire to compete more in China. All the Chinese electrics are going the same way so for some reason they think they need to as well? I certainly think it’s a good idea to get rid of the “on” button at least – the Chevys no longer have it. Personally, I set the temperature and forget, so it’s no big loss for me for HVAC control. And GM has the stereo buttons on the back of the steering wheel, so the driver is covered for most of that.
HVAC can also be controlled by that dial beneath the screen, also Google Assistant and Alexa can change the HVAC controls by voice.
By the time you used the rotary crown to adjust it, your desire for whatever temperature change has long gone
LOL that’s a silly statement
This isn’t about China. It’s already competing very favorably in China. This move is about decreasing the amount of chips… illuminate a hard button, eliminate a chip. It’s literally that simple.
I worry about this “digital command center” trickling its way down from Celestiq, to Escalade IQ, and now to Vistiq. At least the Celestiq and Escalade are keeping the pillar to pillar screen exclusively as of now, because the upper flagship models need to have a more special interior and features than the “lesser” Cadillac EVs.
Its already happened with some Teslas. Where the screens have crashed and the car became virtually undrivable. Whoever came up with the idea of putting the cars vital controls through the screen needs to have his head checked. I’ve had situations where screens lock up even while driving and luckily, this is an older car where only phone and radio controls were done through the screen and simply pulling over and shutting the car off resets the screen. At some point this must become a safety issue.
It’s called the brains of the car , they are luring you fancy screens and unnecessary addons, but the the brains/ chips are cheap and not up to the job keeping everything functioning properly. But you guys go ahead and buy these cars. Not only are they not planet savers, when replace the batteries for about 30,000, they will likely charge another 7 or 8000 to dispose of the old batteries!
Great to see GM get rid of the one big advantage they had over other EVs…when will they learn?
They still have the dial at the bottom to navigate and select items without touching the screens.
Seeing these Spy shots of the interior of the upcoming Vistaq gives me hope that it will be priced closer to the XT6.
Had GM utilized the Escalade IQ interior then this would have been a muuuuuch more expensive vehicle.
Having said that, if this has the Lyriq interior but is priced closer to the Escalade, GM might as well not even release this. Will be another GM BEV flop as they are clueless how to mass produce at a good value price point.
I think you are going to be disappointed. I estimate ATP 100K for this. Will start low 80’s.
@mkAtx
Well it would not be me that is disappointed but GM. If they think people will replace their XT6 or any other luxury three row ICE crossover for one that will be 100K they are sadly mistaken.
The issue at Legacy Auto is the following.
They ALL know that BEV’s will be the future. But NONE of them have the bulls to let the board and the shareholders know that they need at least a year but most likely two years of losing lots of money on their EV programs to get scale up which then will bring prices down. Then and only then will they make money.
All current CEO’s care about is their quarter profits. Most Legacy will be dying a very slow death as China and Tesla will just keep eating away at their market caps.
It is going to be extremely sad to see some beloved ICE brands whittling away slowly.
As a GM fan I wish they would get new leadership that understand how to navigate Disruption. Current leadership is obviously clueless unfortunately. For al the screw all this BEV push I will only driver ICE, don’t be upset when the Government is using your money to bail out Legacy Auto.
These next 10 years will be brutal and it is ALL due to horrible leadership that doesn’t understand what is happening around them. Heads in the Sand situation.
As a GM fan I want them to be the best at everything and as of right now they are doing the complete opposite!!!
You cannot wish away a 10K capital cost of a battery. So price of an XT6 battery replacement is 10K+profit on the battery more than an XT6. And I think I am being generous on the 10K. Probably more like 15 or 20k for a 100KWh battery. I know, right 100 bucks a kwh. Now go down and try to buy one for yourself for anything less than 800/KWh. Granted that is retail, but so is the car we are buying with a battery inside. Tesla did it by making a golf cart with a big battery. They are so stripped to the bone inside not even funny. Ever seen those base wheels on a tesla. GoKarts have better. You see it in Lyriq prices. A lyriq with leather & a sunroof is 75K. An XT6 is less than 60. And it doesn’t matter who runs gm. No one can escape the added cost of a honkin battery.
Throw in AWD and you’re over 80k.
Those lines on the rear glass look like an afterthought, and will shout “dated!” within five years. It is the shark-fin C pillar of 2024.
