The 2025 Chevy Trailblazer introduces only a few changes and updates from its 2024 model-year predecessor, which debuted the mid-cycle refresh for the crossover. Now, GM Authority has learned that two paint colors will be dropped from the 2025 palette.
Once the 2024 Chevy Trailblazer ceases production, the 2025 model year will see a pair of colors dropped from availability (relevant color code in parenthesis):
- Copper Harbor Metallic (G98)
- Fountain Blue (GLN)
Copper Harbor Metallic was introduced for the 2024 model year along with the mid-cycle refresh and has had only a brief window of availability on the crossover. Meanwhile, Fountain Blue was added for the 2023 model year. Notably, these two colors will be replaced by a single new exterior paint option, Marina Blue Metallic (GKN).
Beyond the handful of changes that includes adjustments to the exterior paint color lineup, the 2025 Chevy Trailblazer continues the features and updates launched with the 2024 model. These include a new front fascia for each trim level, a fresh grille treatment, and slimmer upper lighting signatures for the subcompact crossover’s exterior.
The overhauled interior gets a new standard 11-inch diagonal center display, an 8-inch diagonal Driver Information Center, and Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety and convenience tech includes Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Following Distance Indicator, and Forward Collision Alert as standard, with an option for Adaptive Cruise Control.
Two powerplants are available to motivate the 2025 Chevy Trailblazer. These include the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine, equipped as standard and developing 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, and optionally the turbocharged 1.3L I3 L3T engine providing 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque.
Trailblazer crossovers powered by the LIH engine as well as those with the L3T engine and FWD will use a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) to deliver power to the wheels. Meanwhile, the GM nine-speed automatic transmission provides cog swaps for 1.3L engines with optional AWD.
The Trailblazer uses the GM VSS-F vehicle set for its underpinnings, while production for the North American market takes place at the GM Bupyeong plant in South Korea.

Fountain Blue is one of the better colors. Makes no sense.
I kind of liked the Copper Harbor Metallic though. Shame on ya gm.
We bought an Oasis Blue, everyone loved it, they got rid of that for Fountain Blue, now getting rid of that.
Why?!
Here we go…
…..And oddly, GM kept the yellow. Looks good in the promo ads but not as nice in person. Sorry to any yellow Activ owners- Just my personal opinion.
