Just last week, General Motors unveiled the refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, showing off a slew of updates for the range-topping super sedan. The refresh includes new styling, a new cabin design, and more standard tech features. What’s more, GM states that the refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing also features an “updated Carbon Fiber Package with splitter,” so we reached out to Cadillac for clarification on what the updated carbon package actually entails.
According to Cadillac, the updated Carbon Fiber Package with splitter offered for the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is essentially identical to the Carbon Fiber Package with splitter offered for the 2024 model year, with no functional or drastic appearance changes. Rather, the update pertains to the splitter mounting points, which were adjusted to fit the restyled front fascia.
To note, the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing will continue to offer the following carbon fiber packages (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):
Carbon Fiber 1 Package (CFZ):
- Carbon Fiber front splitter (VS2)
- Front wheel well deflectors
- Rear extra aero spoiler
Carbon Fiber 2 Package (CFV)
- Carbon Fiber grille header
- Rocker moldings (B6A)
- Rocker extensions and rear valance diffuser
- Requires Carbon Fiber 1 Package
It’s also worth noting that since the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing first launched for the 2022 model year, both carbon fiber packages have faced heavy constraints.
In addition to a redesigned front end, the 2025 model-refresh also ushers in updated front fenders, redesigned stacked signature vertical lighting, and LED headlamps, plus three new exterior colors, including Drift Metallic, Deep Space Metallic, and Typhoon Metallic.
The cabin space was reworked to feature a large 33-inch-diagonal LED display, which is mounted high on the dash. Customers can also monitor their high-speed track driving skills using the in-vehicle Performance Data Recorder. Notably, the GM Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assist system is included as standard on models running an automatic transmission.
Under the hood, the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing once again cradles the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, while the GM Alpha 2 platform provides the underpinnings. Production takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

It’s just sad that only friends of the Dealers are the only ones offered a purchase of these models ….Truley Sad. That’s how it works in Canada
Yeah…. the packages are offered for 1 hour and it expired an hour ago. That’s how “constrained” those packages are and it’s ridiculous for over 3 years.
Truly an amazing and well engineered performance Cadillac! I would love to buy one immediately if it was also available as a two door coupe…!!!
Sometimes they’re constrained, sometimes they’re “adjusted” in other ways. My CT5-V Blackwing gets built in a few weeks. I wanted Carbon Fiber 1 but in order to get it I would have been forced to take Carbon Fiber 2 as well. Over double the $ to get the one package I wanted…
PASS.
More of gm simplified ordering, how do u like that.
