As GM Authority previously reported in December 2023, the start of regular production (SORP) of the 2025 Cadillac CT5 was set to kick off in early April 2024. Now, it appears as though the production start of the refreshed luxury sedan has been pushed back a few weeks.
GM Authority has learned from sources close to the matter that the start of regular production of the 2025 Cadillac CT5 is now scheduled for April 24th, 2024. Previously, the production start had been scheduled for April 2nd, 2024.
It’s worth noting that these dates are tentative in nature, and subject to change at any point. In addition, the production start dates only apply to the CT5 Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels, as the high-performance variants of the 2025 CT5 – which include the CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing – are on a different production schedule.
That being said, the refreshed 2025 CT5-V has been revealed, as did the 2025 CT5-V Blackwing.
As a reminder, the Cadillac CT5’s mid-cycle refresh is highlighted by an updated front fascia, which now boasts a new lighting design with unbroken vertical lines and stacked LED headlamps similar to the motif found on the Cadillac CT4 and Cadillac CT6.
The interior also received attention, and now features an all-new curving 33-inch-diagonal LED color display with 9K resolution, with a customizable user interface. Technology goodies include Google built-in with Google Assistant, Google Maps and Google Play, along with OnStar and an available 5G Wi-Fi hotspot.
Under the hood, the 2025 Cadillac CT5 is equipped with the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, as standard affair. Meanwhile, the twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 LGY gasoline engine, rated at 335 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque, is once again offered as an option in the Premium Luxury trim. The GM 10-speed automatic transmission will be standard across the lineup, along with standard RWD and optional AWD.
In regard to structure, the 2025 CT5 will continue to ride on the GM Alpha 2 platform, while production will take place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

Stupid Google Built in, I hope they end that fiasco soon. Customers hate it. But GM does not listen to owners, they could delay introduction until 2030.
