Vietnamese electric vehicle startup VinFast has unveiled the new VinFast VF 3 crossover at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show, announcing the little EV’s global launch. While VinFast has yet to confirm as much, the new VF 3 is expected for sale in North America. The nearest GM rival to the VinFast VF 3 is SAIC-GM-Wuling’s Baojun Yep EV, although the Yep EV is not offered in North America.
The exterior design VinFast VF 3 is characterized by blocky shapes and solid lines, with an upright cabin space and wide, horizontally oriented features across the front end. Lower in the body, the VF 3 shows a chunky bumper and black trim that runs around the perimeter of the vehicle, including the fender flares and lower side skits. The vehicle shown at CES included a yellow body matched with a white roof, as well as a set of 16-inch wheels.
In terms of exterior dimensions, the VinFast VF 3 is tiny, measuring in at 125.6 inches in length, 66.1 inches in overall width, and 63.8 inches in overall height. At 125.6 inches long, the new all-electric crossover is significantly shorter than the Chevy Bolt EV, Chevy Spark, and even the Baojun Yep.

Inside the cabin, the VF 3 incorporates a four-passenger layout, as well as a 10-inch infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capabilities, plus a foldable second-row that expands available cargo capacity to 550 liters (19.4 cubic feet).
“The car’s interior embraces a minimalist approach, providing ample space and incorporating essential smart features for a comfortable and convenient driving experience,” VinFast states.
As for the powertrain, the VinFast VF 3 has a targeted driving range of more than 125 miles per charge.
Early reservations for the VF 3 are expected to begin this year. Further details, including delivery, pricing, and warranty, are expected soon.

Holy Moley. Am I reading that correctly? Almost 24″ shorter than the Chevy Spark? That’s tiny.
Too tiny for America. This company just doesn’t get it.
