General Motors has released a Customer Satisfaction Program for select units of the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq that may have outdated software.
Customer Satisfaction Program N232425350 indicates that four 2024 Lyriq units were inadvertently shipped to the dealership with a former version of software. As a result, features like Rear View Camera and Super Cruise may be impacted.
To remedy this, certified GM technicians are to inspect affected Cadillac Lyriq units and reprogram the image processing module software as necessary. Notably, this fix should take certified techs a little over three hours to perform. In addition, this program will be in effect until February 28th, 2026.
As a reminder, the 2024 model year of Cadillac’s all-electric crossover was highlighted by the all-new Tech trim level, which now serves as the entry-level model for the Lyriq lineup. Pricing starts at $58,590, which includes a destination freight charge of $1,395.
In addition to the new trim, the new power panoramic dual-panel sunroof was also introduced for the 2024 model year. Tagged with RPO code CAJ, this feature replaces the standard fixed glass roof (RPO code CFD), both of which include a power retractable sunshade.
As far as powertrain specifications are concerned, the 2024 Lyriq RWD is powered by a single motor mounted on the rear axle, developing 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque, while, the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq AWD features a pair of electric motors – one per axle – that produce a combined 500 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. Both models utilize GM Ultium battery and GM Ultium Drive motor technologies.
In regard to range figures, the RWD version boasts 314 miles on a full charge, while the AWD variant features 307 miles from a full charge.
Under the skin, the Cadillac Lyriq rides on the GM BEV3 platform, while production of the 2024 model year kicked off at the GM Spring Hill plant in May 2023.

At least there running. Leave them alone.
I know someone waiting to receive a Lyriq. Is there a way to find out which trim level is affected?
GM is really good at fixing mistakes on the Lyriq. They’ve certainly had a lot of practice….
Yeah, that’s snarky, but it’s also well deserved…
Abandon the vehicle, it will eliminate a lot of headaches for GM and its customers.
Lmfao that destination freight charge is a rip off . I delivered one of those and I got paid only $400 for the car. That is bs. Us truckers get screwed while brokers make a killing. The whole load of 8 cars from Cadillac only paid my $2300. So if they are charging $1395. Then I should get paid $11,160.00. Talk about a rip off to us truckers and high fuel. People need to start asking for a price drop on it.
Nailed it Craig.
I never cease to be amazed when I tell people that the destination charge for vehicles is a huge profit center for the OEM’s and they don’t believe me. I have no idea why some people see that charge and just assume it’s a pass-thru cost.
The time I spent as a Vehicle Line Product Manager there was one thing I learned first thing. There isn’t a single item on the material or services accounting side that doesn’t have a margin tacked on. That’s especially true of “fuzzy” fees like destination charges. The Finance guys loved to juice line items like that.
In that regard they’re a lot like cable companies.
Right on Craig, if we can get a Buick envision from china for $1395 destination. Something is seriously wrong. We should be able to pick up our order and save $1300 . It’s just gm screwing it’s customers
Id like to know why the Blazer AWD does not get similar range as the Lyriq!
Software is always the problem, never the answer.
