General Motors rival Stellantis has launched the new Ram ProMaster EV in North America, offered as a fully electrified delivery and cargo vehicle, and slated for availability in multiple configurations. The new Ram ProMaster EV delivery vans compete with GM’s BrightDrop Zevo series of electrified delivery vehicles.
The Ram ProMaster EV will be available in two different layouts, including a delivery model, which is available for order now, and a non-delivery / cargo model, slated for availability at a later date.
Standard spec includes a 110 kWh battery pack, which provides an estimated 162 miles of city driving per charge. The battery includes Level 3 DC quick-charge capabilities at 50 kW, 85 kW, 125 kW, and 150 kW, while a Level 2 box charger up to 11 kW is available. Motivation is sourced from an electric drive module doling out 200 kW or 268 horsepower and 302 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels.
Under the skin, the new Ram ProMaster EV rides on the ProMaster architecture and features a unibody design, with both the cargo variants and the delivery variants running a 159-inch wheelbase. Configurations also include an extended high-roof model. Cargo variants will offer a 12-foot cargo length and extended 13-foot cargo length. The cargo can also features up to 3,020 pounds in payload, while delivery variants feature up to 2,030 pounds in payload. Up to 524 cubic feet of cargo space is offered.
Keeping things comfortable is an available heated steering wheel and heated windshield, while safety and security features include Park Sense with stop, a white noise backup alarm, a “normal” backup alarm, Intelligent Speed Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, and more. Delivery variants have a roll-up rear door made from aluminum. Fleet customers can also leverage Ram Telematics, which provides vehicle location and driving insights to help improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Finally, upfitters will have access to a standard upfitter electrical connector and integrated cab configuration for easy conversion.

Terrible range for a 110 kWh battery and sh!t charging numbers – about on par with the larger Rivian Amazon vans. The Brightdrop Z series are superior to both.
The Brightdrop is the best example of what this vehicle segment SHOULD BE. I applaud GM/Brightdrop for completely investing in this category. The Brightdrop will be very successful!
