The 2023 Corvette is offered as the fourth model year for the eight-generation C8, introducing a few minor updates and changes for the C8 Corvette Stingray, while debuting the new-for-2023 C8 Corvette Z06. Per usual, customers have a wealth of exterior paint colors to choose from, with a total of 14 different options on the list. Now, we’re taking a closer look at the various 2023 Corvette paint colors and breaking down the popularity of each.
Unsurprisingly, Torch Red (paint code GKZ) is the most popular paint choice for the 2023 Corvette, with nearly 15 percent of 2023 Corvette units finished in the hue. In fact, Torch Red has been the top paint choice for the C8 Corvette since the sports car first launched for the 2020 model year.
Second on the list of most-popular paint options for the 2023 Corvette is Arctic White (paint code G8G) at 13.4 percent, or 7,216 units, followed by Black (paint code GBA) at 11.9 percent, or 6,403 units. Red Mist Metallic Tintcoat (paint code GPH) and Hypersonic Gray Metallic (paint code GA7) round out the top five at 10.8 percent (5,785 units) and 9.5 percent (5,130 units), respectively.
Meanwhile, the least-popular paint choice for the 2023 Corvette is Caffeine Metallic (paint code G48) at just one percent of units, or 536 units total. Silver Flare Metallic (paint code GSI) is second-to-last at 3.2 percent and 1,695 units, and Accelerate Yellow Metallic (paint code GD0) is third-to-last at 3.5 percent and 1,898 units.

Its freaking ridiculous that some colors which are no added charge in the US cost an extra $1000 for Canadians. If you paint a C8 Gray whether you deliver it to Detroit or Windsor it doesnt cost GM one nickel more. I also feel the color override charge is a complete ripoff. A red/black seat costs the same whether you put it in a black car or a red mist car
Note to GM: Could we pleeeease limit paint color names to just TWO words?
One of which can be the descriptive adjective and the other an ACTUAL color of the light spectrum?
It is soooo tiring to repeatedly answer the “What color is that” question with “Ceramic matrix gray metallic…which is way too many words for a simple paint color”.
My newly applied CMGM 2021 C8 paint finish dried quicker than the time it took them to spell out the entire paint color name on the window sticker!
This is not directly related but does concern the rumored Corvette SUV….. I had a moments poor judgement and did a “Ask An Expert” submission. I only subscribed to the one question ($2 US) option and got what I paid for…nothing. It’s strictly a money generating scheme with offers of more elaborate services at each step. How do I get rid of this crap and assure that I do not incur further charges? Now I’m worried that they have my credit card info. You put it on your site. I hold you partially responsible.
Here’s my take, and having worked at new car dealerships all my life… are these customer ordered colors or factory ship no choice options. Mostly you get what the factory sent you, not what customers actually wanted. Would really like to know the percentages on customer orders only.
I can assure you that a HUGE percentage of these cars were customer ordered colors.
