  1. Not bad hopefully it gets an engine upgrade if GM decides to discontinue the ICE Blazer…there was an GM authority article about how the current Blazer ICE isn’t being updated yet. maybe GM came to their senses and figured we should put that money into the ICE equinox that sells more then the Blazer ever did or maybe in the future there will be an equinox plus taking over where the Blazer left off. We can only hope.

  2. What a joke – this is nothing more than a renamed trail blazer that they have been selling for the past few years

  3. @ Joe Smith it’s a mine traverse lol .it’s at least bigger then the trail blazer.

  4. So in front wheel drive you lose 20 lb feet of torque and you have to suffer with a CVT. FFS this is a freaking downgrade in some ways and at best will have zero performance improvement over the previous generation.

  5. Rob I wouldn’t even bother looking at an equinox with just FWD and especially a CVT transmission my father had a CVT in his Subaru Cross Trek and I hated it, I felt like I was always stuck in one gear while driving it. Also if I want just FWD there’s the Malibu and Trax or heck if I had the money a Camaro or Corvette I can think of ten cars I’d rather have then a FWD equinox it defeats the purpose AWD or nothing for me.

  6. We own 2 Equinox. One is a 2018 LT AWD 2.0 and the other is a 2019 Premier Redline. Both have the 2.0L engine and they scream. My 2018 Malibu Redline has the 1.5 and runs like a sick kitten. GM has ruined the EQ by limiting it to that weak engine just like they ruined the Blazer by making it a SUV and trying to shoehorn it between the Equinox and Traverse. These designers need to wake up and understand not everyone drives like grandma and appreciated a machine with sufficient power. I’ll do everything I can to keep our two 2.0s running and hope GM gets smart and offers a better motor. I was really thinking e we could trade the 18 for a new 25 but not now. Your loss GM.
