The 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV has just arrived as the first model year of the revived Hummer nameplate’s sport-utility configuration, joining the GMC Hummer EV Pickup that has been available since the 2022 model year. Now, GM Authority is taking a close look at the 2024 Hummer EV SUV interior colors.
The 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV interior colors consist of two interior colorway combinations, specifically Jet Black with Light Gray accents – known as Lunar Horizon – and Jet Black with Taupe accents – dubbed Lunar Shadow. Both of these colors are offered in a single material – premium leather-alternative seating surfaces.
Both colors are available across all three trim levels of the electric SUV, including the 2, 2X, and 3X trims. The following table shows availability and other details.
Interior | Seat | Color Code | 2 | 2X | 3X |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Lunar Horizon (Jet Black / Light Gray) | Premium leather-alternative seating surfaces | H9Z | A | A | A |
Lunar Shadow (Jet Black / Taupe) | Premium leather-alternative seating surfaces | HAS | A | A | A |
Currently, buyers can choose from the GMC Hummer EV SUV’s 2X and 3X trim levels, with the base 2 trim anticipated to debut in the future. The 2X trim level is the more affordable trim, propelled by two Ultium Drive motors, one at the front and the other at the rear. Meanwhile, the range-topping 3X is motivated by three Ultium Drive motors – one at the front, and two at the rear.
Both the 2X and 3X trims use a 20-module Ultium battery pack to supply their motors with electricity. This pack gives the 3X trim a maximum range of 314 miles from a full charge, or 298 miles when equipped with the the Extreme Off-Road Package,(RPO code Z6X).
Both trims include the Crabwalk driving feature and can be outfitted with the aforementioned Off-Road Package. The 3X also exclusively gets the Watts to Freedom (WTF) driving mode.
Under the body panels, the GMC Hummer EV SUV is supported by the wide-body variant of the GM BT1 platform instead of the narrow-body variant that underpins the Chevy Silverado EV and GMC Sierra EV. Production takes place at the GM Factory Zero plant (previously known as the GM Detroit-Hamtramck plant) in Michigan.

The two color choices are “this” or “that”.
They will sell dozens of these.
Don’t forget to have your driveway torn up, dug deeper, and repoured to support this pig.
No you won’t. It’s Contact patch on the ground distributes the weight fine.
This thing would be cool with the 3.0 duramax.
GM botched this namesake so bad, they literally could have took a page from Mercedes on the G Wagen to their EV variant and had this going for $60k minimum to combat the Bronco and Rubicons. Then revealing this truck with its current stats, it could have been the best seller EV truck versus Rivian and Ford.
Absolutely would the 3.0 Duramax be a hit in this vehicle. They had the underpinnings of the ICE Trucks to work with
I STILL ask myself every time this and the pickup are being discussed – WHY? Same goes for the Celestiq. If I owned GM shares, I’d have staged a rebellion with others to send Mary packing with no severance. None of these 3 should exist.
Fat pig.
I can’t wait until they finally introduce the Barbie Edition. 💖
I had a 2003 H2, loved it. Love the new Hummer👍
