For the new model year, the 2024 Trailblazer introduces a mid-cycle refresh that brings along revisions to the exterior styling, an overhauled interior, and a bevy of new standard features. Now, GM Authority is taking a closer look at the 2024 Chevy Trailblazer towing capacities with the following breakdown.
Before jumping right in, here’s a quick overview of the available powertrain configurations. The 2024 Trailblazer is offered with either the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine, rated at 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, or the turbocharged 1.3L I3 L3T gasoline engine, rated at 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. Units equipped with the LIH engine, as well as units with the L3T engine and front-wheel drive, are mated to the continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), while 1.3L engines with AWD are mated to the GM nine-speed automatic transmission.
Meanwhile, FWD is standard and AWD is optional.

Looking over the numbers, we find that the maximum the Bow Tie brand’s subcompact crossover can pull is 1,000 pounds (454 kilograms), which is standard across the trim lineup regardless of drivetrain, axle ratio, or engine option.
It’s worth noting that these towing figures are similar to those of the 2023 Trailblazer.
As a reminder, the revised front fascia of the 2024 Trailblazer features a thinner upper lighting arrangement, along with a new grille design. In fact, every trim level – consisting of the LS, LT, Activ and RS – boasts its own unique front fascia.
On the interior, the cabin has been thoroughly overhauled and now features a standard 11-inch diagonal center display. An eight-inch diagonal Driver Information Center rounds out the screen setup, while standard safety features include Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Following Distance Indicator, and Forward Collision Alert. Adaptive Cruise Control is optional.
Under the skin, the Trailblazer rides on the GM VSS-F vehicle set, while production of the 2024 model year kicked off in July 2023 at the GM Bupyeong plant in South Korea.
