GM’s Wuling Bingo EV Mickey Edition Launches In China

SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW), General Motors’ second joint venture in China, has just officially launched the new Wuling Bingo EV Mickey Edition in that country’s domestic market.

The automaker announced a strategic cooperation with The Walt Disney Company to launch the new Wuling Bingo EV Mickey Edition, which becomes the first special edition of the all-electric hatchback since the vehicle’s official launch in April 2022. The Bingo EV Mickey Edition arrives with a personalized and highly distinctive appearance to conquer the hearts of a younger audience in China.

Jointly developed between SGMW and the American entertainment giant, the new Wuling Bingo EV Mickey Edition adopts an exclusive exterior design theme based on the famous cartoon character that highlights the youthful character of the vehicle – mainly focused on women and newly formed young families. The aesthetic details of this new customized version highlight the retro design and rounded shapes of the Bingo EV.

In particular, the Wuling Bingo EV Mickey Edition introduces a specific two-tone paint scheme, with a red body and a black roof. The personalized touch includes the Disney logo and iconic Mickey pattern printed discreetly on the sides, as well as two white ovals on the hood that represent the polka dots on the mouse’s pants. The mirrors are also painted white and the wheels replicate the body color scheme.

In addition, the joint venture will take advantage of the Wuling Bingo EV Mickey Edition’s launch to offer the Mickey personalization package on the other variants of the vehicle – which can also be installed with distinctive logos. Customers will receive a set of Mickey-themed details such as scented tablets, car signature decals, driver’s license covers, car key covers and a personalized gift.

The new Wuling Bingo EV Mickey Edition is now available for sale at Wuling’s extensive network of official dealerships in China, the only country in the world where SGMW manufactures and markets Wuling’s first five-door electric vehicle. Thanks to the great global influence and acceptance of the Disney and Mickey brands in the Chinese market, this special edition of the Bingo EV seeks to attract local customers looking for a personalized zero-emission car.
