The GM Authority Take
We attribute the subpar sales performance of the GMC Terrain to ongoing availability issues. While Big Red’s compact crossover is still in demand, sales volume remains stifled by supply issues stemming from producing the model and getting it to dealers fast enough.
Additionally, we’ve seen signs that the Terrain is seeing softness when it comes to leasing, though this seems to be limited to specific regions and not a nationwide affair.
About GMC Terrain
The 2024 GMC Terrain arrives with minimal changes, losing two paint colors, while making the GMC Pro Safety Plus package standard on the AT4 trim level.
The 2025 GMC Terrain is on the way as a next-generation model. Here’s what we know and expect regarding the 2025 Terrain. GM has confirmed that the next-gen 2025 Terrain will launch mid-year.
Of course, future sales will likely get a boost from the upcoming all-new Terrain, but GM’s bigger challenge will be building enough units of GMC’s entry-level crossover to meet demand.

Comments
Love the style of Terrain. Can’t believe Bronco Sport is so weak, or that Hyandai is do close to Equinox in sales.
The market is crazy right now. Chevy will limp along as 4th place, Ford will keep dying and Stellantis will end up sold again.
There are tons of Broncos in my free red state.
Terrain with a new power plant would greatly help. 1.5 is to weak and slow
I have a 2019 2.0 252hp love it.At least go with the 235hp that are available in the Buick.
