The GMC Hummer EV will turn heads no matter what color it’s painted. However, with a special shade of matte spread across the body panels, this all-electric off-roader looks even more impressive. Now, we’re getting up close and personal to this GMC Hummer EV SUV in Moonshot Green Matte paint with the following GM Authority Live Photo Gallery.
For those readers who may be unaware, Moonshot Green Matte paint (paint code G7W) is exclusive to the range-topping Hummer EV SUV Edition 1, giving the rig a limited-edition appearance that fits well with the vehicle’s overall vibe. The hue looks fantastic against the black trim bits, as well as the 22-inch brushed silver wheels.
Up front, we see the Hummer logo spread out in signature lighting across the front end, with a black GMC badge lower in the fascia and a pair of black tow hooks set in a silver skid plate. The bumper section is done in black as well.
Moving into the profile, the side of the GMC Hummer EV SUV shows further black body pieces ringing the wheel wells and along the lower body section, while the large silver wheels present a split-spoke design. The Hummer EV logo is proudly displayed on the door, while the roof is done in black, giving the rig a stylish two-tone paint finish.
The rear end finishes it off with a full-size spare, while the vertical taillights present a similar graphic as the H-shaped lighting signatures up front (albeit turned 90 degrees). More black can be found on the rear bumper and upper hatch section.
As a reminder, the GMC Hummer EV draws motivation from GM Ultium batteries and GM Ultium Drive motors, the combination of which doles out 830 horsepower in the range-topping Edition 1. The GM BT1 platform provides the underpinnings, while production takes place at the GM Factory Zero plant, previously known as Detroit-Hamtramck.

I live in a major city where rare, high end & super cars out and about in traffic is a daily fact of life. I have never seen a GMC Hummer EV… I also believe that the only real market interest in a Hummer EV is from people who will never be able to buy a Hummer EV. Its a damaged brand, and the styling doesn’t really look any differnt than previous Hummer products from previous decades… The trickle down EV approach worked for Tesla because their brand was new and exciting. Hummer already dilluted their image 20 years ago, and ended up selling volume priced gas hogs to sub-prime borrowers before being discontinued.
I’m not a fan of Matte colors. Looks like something that comes out of a spray can in the backyard just my opinion.
The hummer is my dream vehicle I love everything about the hammer is roomie for a person with back pains leg pains it gives the right amount of space so until I get one I keep on dreaming
Nice color the price is a Moonshot as well.
I can’t get over the spare tire being on the back of the truck. I know it will have a camera for the rearview mirror and is likely better when you are off road, but it really detracts from the appearance of the vehicle to have such a humungous spare on the outside of it. Sorry GMC, I will stick with my Yukon Denali.
The first time I saw one of these in person (strangely at my local Cadillac dealer when bringing in my XT5 for its first oil change) I had to do a double take at it since I could not believe how massive this vehicle is. I was expecting it to be about the size of an H2. But it looks larger than that.
I would buy a new hummer in a minute if it only came with a diesel engine fantastic looking vehicle!
