GMC Acadia Denali Ultimate Not Entirely Out Of The Question

The possibility of a Denali Ultimate trim level for the 2024 GMC Acadia isn’t entirely out of the question. The General’s announcement of the 2024 model year Acadia at the Detroit Auto Show revealed an all-new third generation Acadia that returns to full-size proportions.

At the same time, GMC has been slowly rolling out the Denali Ultimate trim – which slots above Denali – as the range-topping trim level across its full-size, body-on-frame models. So far, the Denali Ultimate is offered exclusively on the GMC Sierra 1500, the GMC Sierra HD, the GMC Yukon, and the GMC Yukon XL. However, this raises the question of whether a 2024 GMC Acadia Denali Ultimate is in the pipeline.

That’s exactly what GM Authority Executive Editor, Alex Luft, set out to find out.

“We can’t speak to future product, but we’re constantly looking at it,” Katherine Weber, GMC Acadia marketing manager, told Luft during a recent interview. “We’re looking at all opportunities to build on additional content and features,” Weber added. Not being an outright “no”, that somewhat leaves the Acadia Denali Ultimate somewhat of a possibility.

With the Acadia now back to full size with the arrival of its new generation, an Acadia Denali Ultimate would certainly be an interesting addition to the trim level lineup. The interior would likely include Alpine Umber leather along with a darker treatment for cabin accents, cutting-edge technology and convenience features, Ultimate badging, and other details found in other Denali Ultimate models.

These premium appointments would certainly come at a price. Starting prices for the 2024 GMC Acadia are expected to range from approximately $39,000 for the base Elevation trim, to $43,000 and $45,000 respectively for the (Elevation) Premium and AT4 trims, and $52,000 for the currently range-topping Denali.

If a 2024 Acadia Denali Ultimate is added as a fifth trim level, it will likely be priced at $5,000 to $10,000 higher than the Denali.

The all-new 2024 GMC Acadia crossover utility vehicle will launch early in 2024 with production taking place at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant. Exact pricing and other details will be available shortly before units start rolling off the assembly line.

So what’s your opinion, dear readers? Do you think GMC should add an Acadia Denali Ultimate trim level to the 2024 model year? Vote in the poll below, and share your reasoning in the comments section below.

  1. As if the Cadillac-infringing Denali isn’t enough, now a Denali Ultimate? Boy do we need a recession to knock some sense into folks.

  2. …and I’m just sitting here waiting for the Acadia Denali Ultimate Premium Plus Canyonero Edition.

  3. I want one.
I need three rows but want a smaller vehicle and no Cadillac bling.
Stay under the radar and no need to impress the neighbors or car parking valet.
Should be $40,000.00 less than a Yukon Denali Ultimate .
My last Denali Ultimate had a sticker of $99,570.00, but I did get a credit of $75.00 since they could not built it with wireless charging. So there is that.

  4. Why do we need this? Leave that tier to the Buick Enclave since it will essentially be the same. Why cannibalize sales from each brand unless there is a high demand for it.

GMC should look at doing a more aggressive off-road above the AT4 if they want to spread out and let Chevy have a sportier model.

    Just my thoughts

    1. I don’t know if anyone “needs” a Denali Ultimate… much like no one really “needs” an Escalade… but it is there for those who “want” it.

  5. It seems to me that we should be emphasizing getting the 2024 to Market rather than worrying about an Ultimate Version. GM has been Talking about the New Acadia, and the Buick Enclave for Months BUT NO PRODUCTION. Whats wrong with this Picture??

  6. Any idea when the build and price will come out so we can dream about getting one. LOL.

  7. Based off the pricing of the new Traverse, I’d be willing to bet the estimated $52,000 for the Denali is off by about $10k. The Traverse RS AWD is nearly 58k, and the Acadia has always been more expensive than the Traverse. Even the current gen fully loaded tops out around 60 when it’s fully loaded. This is much larger, and has a lot more features.

    1. HELL YES we need some kind of package that offers a Black Trim. I would order mine today if that was offered. I don’t know if it needs to be an Ultimate Package but definitely a Black Package that could be added to the 2024 Acadia Denali. Looks like GMC just added Black Rims as a option when building a Acadia Denali, now we just need the rest to go with it. If it doesn’t come out with a Black Trim option I will buy something else not in the GMC family. Not that GMC cares or would lose any sleep if I go elsewhere

  8. Personally, I do not like the current Denali Ultimate Package. While I’m sure some are fans of the brown Alpine Umber interior, black wheels & Vader Chrome of the Denali Ultimate Package, I am not. Since they do everything the same at GM, those features would most likely be the same offered, for an Acadia Denali Ultimate.
I really was interested in ordering a 2024 Acadia Denali. However, I don’t want to wait until the summer to get it (since production doesn’t start for two months…or possibly more). Therefore, I’ll be ordering another Yukon Denali Reserve instead.

  9. I am not interested in any Denali package with that horrible looking trim color. Besides that, the Acadia will reach prices equal to the Yukon if you add that Ultimate package. Not necessaary. I am long-time lessee of Buick Enclaves and GMC Yukons.

  11. Personally I do not care for the Alpine Umber leather color in the Ultimate. GMC needs to come up with a better color style for the interior.

  12. Yes Yes yes. Top of the line interior, after all it’s a Denali ultimate
