Chevy Trax High Country Rendering Brings Luxury And Bling

First breaking cover in October of 2022, the 2024 Chevy Trax debuts Chevy’s all-new, entry-level crossover, showing off new styling, new dimensions, an overhauled cabin, and a turbocharged powerplant. Customers have five trim levels to choose from, including LS, 1RS, LT, 2RS, and Activ – but notably, no range-topping High Country. Now, we’re fixing that with the following exclusive GM Authority rendering.

First off, we should clarify that, for the moment at least, GM has no known plans to actually offer a Chevy Trax High Country. Rather, we decided to create this rendering just to see what such a thing could look like.

With that covered, let’s take a closer look at our Chevy Trax High Country rendering. Typically, Chevy offers the High Country as the most luxurious trim in the lineup, and the exterior design reflects that designation with a variety of bronze accents throughout. Up front, the fascia of our rendering shows bronze in the grille surround, plus bronze accents in the grille itself. The lower bumper also shows some of the shiny stuff.

In the profile, our Chevy Trax High Country rendering shows the appropriate High Country badging on the front fenders, while in the corners, we added a set of High Country-specific wheels, once again with a polished finish. The rest of the Chevy Trax trim level lineup includes wheel sizing up to 19 inches in diameter, but we think an even-larger 20-inch wheel would fit well on this new range-topper.

Viewed from the rear, our Chevy Trax High Country rendering shows off revised taillights with bronze accents added lower in the housings just behind the rear wheels. While we’re not entirely sold on the look, we think it certainly falls in line with the overall High Country aesthetic – much more so than the standard black housings, that is. We also added more bronze in the lower fascia insert.

Similar to the Chevy Blazer High Country rendering that we published last month and Chevy Trailblazer High Country rendering we published a few days ago, we could imagine a number of upgrades for the interior as well, including a unique leather upholstery treatment with the Jet Black and Umber accents colorway, a color combo which is also offered for the Chevy Silverado High Country.

As a reminder, the all-new Chevy Trax features the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine as standard, while the GM VSS-F vehicle set provides the underpinnings. Production takes place at the GM Changwon plant in South Korea.

  7. First off, I traded in my 2019 ford escape because to coolant intrusion 8sdue started at only 31,000 miles. Ever since I retired, with the exception of my pristine 2013 mustang GT, I decided to lease, so that I’d never have a huge repair bill. We decided on a Trax because it’s the right size for us, and in our monthly price range. We’ve had it since June 16th, 2023, and have almost 9000 miles on it. With the exception of the infotainment screen going crazy for a few seconds, once in a while, we’re enjoying the car. Now for all who want an all wheel drive varient, remember this. If you’re not an off roader, or always driving in very deep snow, there’s no need for all wheel drive. And also remember that there’s one thing dealers never tell customers about all wheel drive systems. If you get just one flat tire that cannot be repaired, YOU MUST REPLACE ALL 4 TIRES EVEN IF THEY ARE IN GREAT SHAPE. Not doing this will eventually screw up your all wheel drive system, and you’ll be on the hook for thousands in repairs. Anyway, while we’re not driving an expensive vehicle, we’re certainly getting our money’s worth. We’re averaging 30-32 MPG and on straight highway 37 MPG.

  9. I think your High Country Trax version is sharp. I really like the interior color scheme. It looks upscale. I think the engine options are ok and they get exceptional gas mileage, however my father likes the Trax, but won’t consider buying it because he’s scared of a 3 cylinder engine. A four cylinder option might find an expanded market.
