The 2024 Chevy Trailblazer adds two new exterior colors to its palette: Copper Harbor Metallic and Cacti Green. Here’s our first look at the new Green hue.

Cacti Green is a no-cost item that is only available on the Activ and RS trim levels. It can only be combined with following 2024 Trailblazer colorways: Jet Black with Yellow stitching, Jet Black/Artemis with Yellow stitching, and Jet Black with Red accents.

This past February, GM revealed the refreshed 2024 Chevy Trailblazer, showing off updated styling, an overhauled cockpit, new standard features, and more for the small crossover, which debuted for the 2021 model year.

Outside, we find a new look highlighted by thinner upper lighting signatures and a new grille treatment. The 2024 Chevy Trailblazer trim level lineup includes LS, LT, Activ, and RS, each of which includes its own front fascia, exterior lighting, and grille design. The RS, for example, gets black exterior trim, a mesh grille design, and dual exhaust outlets with chrome tips.

The wheel designs are also unique between the different trims, with RS models now rocking 19-inch rollers, rather than 18-inch wheels as before. Activ and RS trims offer a two-tone roof option.

Inside, we find an overhauled cabin headlined by a new 11-inch diagonal center display as standard, which pairs with an 8-inch diagonal Driver Information Center. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are onboard, while LT, Activ, and RS trims offer wireless phone charging. Standard safety features include Automatic Emergency BrakingFront Pedestrian BrakingLane Keep Assist with Lane Departure WarningFollowing Distance Indicator, and Forward Collision AlertAdaptive Cruise Control is optional.

As for cargo capacity, the 2024 Chevy Trailblazer includes a standard fold-flat front passenger seat that can accommodate objects up to 8.5 feet long, with upwards of 54.4 cubic feet of cargo room in total. A two-tier storage system adds flexibility as well.

Under the hood, the 2024 Chevy Trailblazer runs a familiar powertrain lineup, with the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine as standard, producing 137 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 162 pound-feet of torque at 2,500 to 4,000 rpm, and the turbocharged 1.3L I3 L3T gasoline engine as an option, producing 155 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 174 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm.

Units equipped with the LIH engine, as well as units with the L3T engine and front-wheel drive, connect to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), while the L3T engine with all-wheel drive connects to the GM 9-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is optional.

Under the body, the refreshed Trailblazer once again rides on the GM VSS-F platform. The 2024 Chevy Trailblazer is built at the GM Bupyeong plant in South Korea.

  1. Several other Brands have the same color, different name.
GM used to have their own unique colors. Now they just buy them from the Communal Paint Shop.
    Great generic job, Mary .

    1. Similar maybe, the same, absolutely not.

What is refreshing, is seeing vehicles in a wide array of colours, instead of the boring white, black, silver and greys of the past 10 years or so.

    2. Not true but I bet if GM offered really unique paint colors, you’d complain about Mary being a “try hard”.

      1. I’d thank her for doing her $30+Million/yr job.
Btw, just saw it going the opposite direction. A Kia or Hyundai, I think.

    3. KIA … Jungle Green
      Others will follow. Like lemmings.

      1. Jungle Green is a metallic color. Cacti Green is not. Toyota’s Lunar Rock was the first of its ilk, IIRC. Then Ford came out with Cactus Gray. Hyundai has Mirage Green on the new Kona. All non-metallics. Chevy’s Cacti Green seems greener than the others. Ford and Hyundai are almost white, Toyota skews gray in comparison to Cacti Green. I love Cacti Green on my ’24 Trax Activ. You can order a ’24 Trax Activ, 1RS or 2RS in Cacti Green, but I see where it is only available on the Activ for 2025, per GM’s online order guide.

  3. The Trail Blazer would have been a rightful and natural competitor to the Ford Bronco. Instead Chevrolet turned it into a tiny urban wagon.

    1. The Ford Bronco is an ugly retro styled “brick”, not comparison worthy as it is a different vehicle completely.

  4. Name should be “GROTTI” !
    Thank you Chevrolet, again.

  5. Nice! It looks just as good as it looks on the Trax Activ. The onus is on gm marketing to make the buying public aware of the availability of the Trailblazer with catchy advertising to complete the one two punch in the subcompact crossover segment.

  6. I’d rather see the Trailblazer wear “Dragon Green” from the glorious Sonic. Cacti green is just ok…a bit boring really.
