As the range-topping model of the Chevy Silverado 1500 lineup, the Silverado ZR2 boasts a plethora of all-terrain features to pump up its off-roading capabilities to the next level. Now, the 2024 Chevy Silverado ZR2 is available with new goodies to further its go-anywhere attitude.
For starters, the Silverado ZR2 received a new set of wheels for the 2024 model year, namely the $3,695 LPO or dealer-installed 18-inch Black Face Beadlock capable wheels with Oxide Gold Decorative Ring (RPO code EU2). Now, these rollers can be had with fresh decorative add-ons to replace the Oxide Gold rings that are included in the wheel set.
Priced at $1,195 over the EU2 wheels, these new decorative rings include (relevant RPO code in parenthesis):
- LPO, Red Decorative Rings for Beadlock capable wheels (VYN)
- LPO, Black Decorative Rings for Beadlock capable wheels (VYP)
It’s worth noting that these decorative rings are only available on the Silverado ZR2. In addition, the beadlock wheels can’t be ordered in conjunction with the Bison Edition (RPO code ULV).
As a reminder, the Chevy Silverado 1500 is offered with a wide variety of engine choices, including the TurboMax turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, rated at 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, rated at 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, rated at 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, and the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine, rated at 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque.
Under the skin, the Silverado rides on the GM T1 platform – which it shares with the GMC Sierra – while production takes place at the GM Fort Wayne plant in Indiana, the GM Oshawa plant in Canada, and the GM Silao plant in Mexico.

Pass.
YAWN
Ok but Silverado ZR2 Desert Boss when??
Hard pass.
Can’t get there. Unfortunately my favorite truck company is just not getting the message. When GM focuses on technology it works. A factory LT4 or LT2 like engine would have been a better engine option choice for the premier performance ZL2 model truck. Not different colored rims.
Kidding right?
Did they hire the manager from autozone to do wheel designs?
