A few days after confirming the arrival of Chevrolet’s most emblematic truck in the South American country, General Motors has just shown the 2024 Chevy Silverado High Country in Argentina.
The automaker officially announced the 2024 Chevy Silverado High Country in the domestic market of Argentina, confirming that the range-topping variant is the one chosen for the definitive arrival of the full-size truck in that country, as GM Authority exclusively announced in its previous report. In fact, the 2024 Silverado High Country already appears on the Chevrolet Argentina website as a prelude to its imminent local launch.
In particular, GM Argentina revealed that the 2024 Chevy Silverado will reintroduce the iconic nameplate to the country’s domestic market with an exclusive configuration consisting of the highest trim level and a gasoline V8 powertrain – identical to the one being shipped to Brazil. Although the company did not specifically mention the High Country version, the images shown in the statement and on the website clearly indicate it.
In addition, it’s precisely a 2024 Chevy Silverado High Country units on display in pre-launch form at the Bow Tie brand’s official stand at the annual automotive fair in the Argentine town of Cariló – which opened its doors this past weekend. There, Chevrolet’s flagship pickup poses along with the slogan “La Fuerza de la Leyenda” or “The Force of the Legend,” that will be used to advertise the Silverado’s return to Argentina.
The 2024 Chevy Silverado High Country that will be sold in Argentina runs the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 engine that develops 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, mated to GM’s 10-speed automatic transmission, as well as all the maximum equipment available in the pickup’s range-topping variant.
The 2024 Chevy Silverado High Country will be on display until February 13th at Argentina’s Cariló auto show, as the first preview of the most sophisticated version of the truck to Argentine customers before its official launch scheduled for this new calendar year. Being practically identical to the model sold in the Brazilian market, it is possible that the units of the 2024 Silverado for Argentina will be imported from the GM Fort Wayne plant in Indiana.

Not a fan! They’ve made it to feminine and looks to much like the RAM. Sierra will way outsell this Silverado. And on a side note…why are all these vehicles debuted overseas! Feels like USA is an afterthought.
The Sierra front end looks too much like a joint venture with a Toyota Tundra!
i do somewhat agree with you when it comes to 1/2 ton trucks. for HD i like the silverado more.
but on the SUV side, the GMC is total ass. chevy has the best design there.
ultimately i want to be able to mix up gmc interiors with chevrolet exteriors. imagine gm, imagine giving us that option instead of hiding it behind brand badges. IMAGINE
mary msrp barra says you will buy an ugly denali to get a good interior! and then buy a chevy and swap it over to get what you want. ok not really her fault here but as the ceo she gets the ultimate flack no matter what.
