Coming in one model year removed from the 2023 mid-cycle refresh, the 2024 Chevy Blazer boasts a select few updates over the preceding model year. Now, one of these changes comes in the form of expanded availability of two packages for the Bow Tie crossover.
Previously, the Arctic Package 1 (RPO code RGC) and Arctic Package 2 (RPO code RGL) were only offered on the 3LT trim level of the 2023 Blazer. For the 2024 model year, the 2LT trim can also be optioned with either of these two packages.
For context, the Arctic Package 1 costs an extra $4,195 and includes (relevant RPO code in parenthesis):
- 20-inch chrome aluminum wheels, LPO (RZR)
- Bodyside fender hash decal, Bow Tie theme, LPO (5KA)
- Body-color grille bar, LPO (SJ9)
- Black front and rear Bow Ties (B94)
It’s worth noting that the 20-inch chrome aluminum wheels are currently unavailable to order, so the Arctic Package 1 is not available for the time being.
Meanwhile, the Arctic Package 2 costs an extra $795 and includes (relevant RPO code in parenthesis):
- Bodyside fender hash decal, Bow Tie theme, LPO (5KA)
- Body-color grille bar, LPO (SJ9)
- Black front and rear Bow Ties (B94)
Notably, LPO refers to an option that is installed directly by dealerships.
As a reminder, the Chevy Blazer is offered with one of two engine options, including the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, rated at 308 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque.
Both powerplant choices are matched to the GM nine-speed automatic transmission, while FWD is standard and AWD is optional.
Under the body panels, the Bow Tie crossover rides on the GM C1 platform. Meanwhile, production of the 2024 Chevy Blazer officially kicked off on July 10th, 2023 at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.

How stupid is this? Dummy me, I figured an Arctic package would be things like extra capacity battery, posi-traction, engine block heater, battery heater, and other useful cold weather equipment. No stickers and chrome wheels.
I agree with the above comment. Heated steering wheel and seats, maybe engine block heater plug in option. More aggressive tread for tires. Makes much more sense for an “Arctic Pkg.”
I think the Artic part refers to the Artic White color that has been a great classic white for many years.
Had an AWD 6 cylinder for a rental… Didn’t hate the Blazer, 9 speed is great. Interior not bad at all. Definitely should have made something called a blazer on the hot selling Colorado/Canyon platform though…. No reason blazer couldn’t have been the next Equinox or simply Buick exclusive to give that brand a bone.
