The new sweepstakes is part of a fund-raising effort to provide residential care, treatment, and support for autistic and intellectually / developmentally disabled individuals, via The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Association, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Since 1983, the organization has raised more than $6 million for charity.
As for the vehicle on offer, the grand prize is a 2024 Corvette Z06 Convertible finished in a stunning shade of paint called Red Mist Metallic Tintcoat. The interior features the Natural colorway and Napa leather upholstery, as well as heated and ventilated GT2 seats, not to mention the Performance Data Recorder and Head-Up Display infotainment features. The retractable hardtop convertible roof is finished in Carbon Flash, with Carbon Flash nacelles. In the corners, this Z06 rides on 20-inch front and 21-inch rear Satin Graphite forged aluminum wheels with a matching red stripe along the rim.
As for the powertrain, the 2024 Corvette Z06 features the naturally aspirated 5.5L V8 LT6 gasoline engine as standard, which throws down with a maximum of 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. All that go is dispatched before the engine reaches its head-spinning 8,600-rpm redline.
This particular example is also fitted with the optional Z07 Performance Package, which adds in larger carbon ceramic brakes, stickier Michelin Sport Cup 2 R tires, unique FE7 suspension with package-specific calibration, and a full carbon fiber aero upgrade.
