General Motors has some big plans for the 2024 calendar year, and GM Authority will be there every step of the way to bring you all the latest and greatest. We’ve already outlined what we expect from Buick, Cadillac, and GMC, so check out those articles for more info on each respective brand. Now, we’re dishing out what we expect from Chevy in 2024.
First on the list is the launch of the next-generation 2024 Traverse, expected early in the 2024 calendar year. Debuting the crossover’s latest third generation, the 2024 Traverse offers up new styling, an overhauled cabin, a long list of tech features, and a new powertrain, as well as an advanced twin-clutch AWD system equipped as standard on the Z71 trim level.
More broadly, the first quarter of the year will see the launch of two all-electric models, namely the 2024 Equinox EV and 2024 Silverado EV RST. Notably, both models were originally poised to launch sooner, but GM delayed their launch (as well as that of the GMC Sierra EV) for further software optimization.
The Spring of 2024 will give us the debut of the 2025 Corvette ZR1, poised to top the C8 Corvette model lineup with the new LT7Â engine, a forced-induction-variant of the 5.5L V8 LT6 that motivates the C8 Corvette Z06. The new ZR1 will also equip some wild aero bits and other go-faster goodies.
Spring will also see the launch of the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV SS, the all-electric crossover’s range-topping performance model.
Moving into Summer, three important debuts are expected, including the ICE-powered 2025 Equinox, set to introduce the crossover’s all-new fourth generation, complete with the usual overhaul to exterior styling, interior design, tech features, and powertrain. Check out everything we know and expect from the 2025 Equinox for more information. The summer months will also debut the all-new 2026 Bolt EV, as well as an as-of-yet unnamed Chinese-only model, currently known as the all-electric Chevy D-Car or Low-Roof Entry model.
Finally, towards the end of the 2024 calendar year, the refreshed 2025 Tahoe and refreshed 2025 Suburban full-size SUVs will finally launch following a debut this past November.
