Used Cadillac XT6 Units Selling Well In October 2023

Used Cadillac XT6 luxury midsize crossovers are selling considerably faster than the average for all pre-owned vehicles as of October 2023 according to recent sales data, making them one of the most popular used vehicles by speed of sale.

The iSeeCars study ranks the Cadillac XT6 close to the top among the “10 Fastest Selling Used Cars” for the month, an unusual distinction for a luxury model, with high-end cars otherwise among the slowest selling during October.

The Cadillac XT6 crossover achieved third place in the ten fastest-selling used cars list, spending an average of 30.1 days on the market before being purchased. This speed is 0.6x faster than the overall average of 49.2 days on the market for the pre-owned vehicle sector. It is one of two Cadillac models on the fastest-selling list.

The only vehicles that sold faster than the Cadillac XT6 are the BMW X5, one of three hybrids in the top 10 list, which typically finds a new owner in 26.8 days or 0.5x average, and the Toyota Highlander Hybrid, spending an average of 29.0 days on the market or 0.6x of the overall average.

The study offers several other insights about the current used car market. Prices for October fell by 5.1 percent year-over-year according to the data used, reaching an average of $30,972 for the month or roughly $1,800 less than in October 2022. Executive analyst Karl Brauer noted that “used electric vehicle prices dropped much farther and faster” than typical pre-owned vehicle cost, with a 33 percent fall in prices since last year.

Related to this data point, used EVs are selling slower than both ICE and hybrid vehicles. An electric vehicle spends an average of 52.4 days on the used market before it is purchased, with the Ford F-150 Lightning staying on the market for 78.4 days and some models of both EVs and luxury cars approaching or exceeding 100 days.

As a reminder, the Cadillac XT6 is currently in the fifth model year of its first generation with the 2024 Cadillac XT6. Only minor changes have been introduced since its 2020 model-year launch.

  1. I bought a loaded used XT4. Only way to afford it. I would never pay near sticker.
