Some folks invest in stocks, some folks invest in precious metals, but other folks invest in cars. Indeed, with the broader automotive industry transitioning to EVs, old-school, ICE-powered metal is rising in value. Now, we’re checking out an incredible barn find filled to the brim with classic GM cars, as seen in the following feature video.
Clocking in at a little over 30 minutes, the video was posted by the Hagerty YouTube channel, and includes a look at several of the vehicles in the collection. In total, it’s estimated that the barn find includes roughly 40 classic vehicles.
As the story goes, the collection was amassed by a single individual over a period of many years, with the vehicles stored in a large building constructed on a 10-acre property in 2000. After the collector passed, the collection was inherited by his children, who are now opening the door to reveal the treasures stored away.
In the video, we meet one of the daughters, as well as one of the collector’s friends, who, together, lead the viewer through some of the highlights in the collection.
Naturally, the collection includes several GM vehicles that are sure to catch the eye of any collector. The first vehicle featured is a 1982 Chevy Camaro Z28 Indy 500 Pace Car.
“Daddy heard that there was this car in Daytona Beach and he went to take a look, and it looks like it was something he wanted,” one of the daughters explains. “So he asked around and it wound up being a pace car.”
With just 437 miles on the clock, the Chevy Camaro Pace Car is practically brand new. In fact, many of the rides in this collection are in absolutely immaculate condition for their age. A few of the GM highlights include:
- 1967 Cadillac
- Cadillac Coupe DeVille
- 1957 Chevy Bel Air two-door hardtop
- Chevy 3800
- 454 Malibu SS Chevelle
- 1948 Buick Roadmaster Convertible
Of course, that’s just a smattering of the vehicles in this collection, so if you love classic GM vehicles, this is the video for you:
