The 2024 Cadillac XT6 debuts the crossover’s fifth model year, introducing no significant changes over the 2023-model-year vehicle. Now, GM Authority has learned that the 2024 Cadillac XT6 is currently unavailable with the 20-inch Gloss Black wheels option. It’s currently unclear when these wheels will once again be available.
The wheels in question are tagged with RPO code S2K, and were previously offered as LPO-level option, which means they were installed by the dealer, rather than at the factory when the vehicle was initially produced. Pricing for the 20-inch Gloss Black wheels is normally set at $2,495.
The 20-inch Gloss Black wheels are also a part of the Cadillac XT6’s Blue / Bronze / Red Accent packages, as well as the Onyx and Onyx Lite packages. Per previous GM Authority coverage, all of these packages are currently unavailable to order as well, likely a result of a constraint on the 20-inch Gloss Black wheels. The various packages mentioned typically include a wealth of exterior aesthetics upgrades.
First launching for the 2020 model year, the Cadillac XT6 would traditionally be in line to receive a model refresh in conjunction with 2024 model year. However, as GM Authority covered previously, the 2024 XT6 does not debut any significant changes over the 2023 model year.
As for the mechanical details, the 2024 Cadillac XT6 is available with two powertrain options, starting with the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 235 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 258 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm. The XT6 is also available with the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, rated at 310 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and 271 pound-feet of torque at 5,000 rpm. Both powerplants are matched to the GM nine-speed automatic transmission, with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive available to put the power down.
The GM C1 platform provides the underpinnings, while production takes place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.
