The 2024 GMC Acadia Will Offer Three New Paint Colors

The 2024 GMC Acadia debuts the crossover’s all-new third generation, officially dropping cover at this year’s Detroit Auto Show with larger dimensions, a roomier interior, new tech, and new styling. Complementing the new body panels is a selection of three new exterior paint options, as detailed by GM Authority right here.

The three new exterior paint options on offer with the debut of the 2024 GMC Acadia include Crystal Metallic (paint code GXK), Deep Bronze Metallic (paint code GXN), and Downpour Metallic (paint code GXP).

At present, the only images available that show the next-gen crossover in the new color options are photos of the 2024 GMC Acadia Denali in Downpour Metallic.

In addition to the three new exterior colors introduced for the 2024 model year, three exterior colors were also deleted, including Hunter Metallic (paint code GED), Light Stone Metallic (paint code G5D), and Ultra Blue Metallic (paint code GTR). Hunter Metallic was introduced for the 2021 model year, Light Stone Metallic was introduced for the 2022 model year, and Ultra Blue Metallic was introduced for the 2023 model year, per previous GM Authority coverage.

Compared to the preceding 2023 model year, the 2024 GMC Acadia is 8.4 inches longer in terms of wheelbase and 10.6 inches longer in terms of overall length. The new Acadia is also 3.2 inches taller. As a result of these larger exterior dimensions, the next-gen Acadia offers up 80 percent more cargo room behind the third row compared to the 2023 model year. Seating capacity is set at seven to eight passengers.

Further interior features include a 15-inch diagonal infotainment screen, which pairs with an 11-inch diagonal driver information center. The semi-autonomous GM Super Cruise system is optional.

Under the hood, the 2024 GMC Acadia features the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine, as GM Authority was the first to report. Production of the all-new 2024 Acadia will kick off early next year at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant.

  1. Do not like the vertical screen.

    1. Agree. Because of the vertical screen in the new Acadia, we are going with the Z71 Traverse over the AT4 Acadia. It’s a bummer considering we are currently AT4 Acadia owners.

  2. Is the Hunter Metallic (paint code GED) more of a green hue or pewter. I can’t tell.

    1. We’ve got a ’21 with that color. It’s more a pewter color with green metallic. You don’t really see the green until the sun makes it pop.

  3. Waiting to see if the cargo capacity (behind the front seat) is the same as the ’24 Traverse (97 Cu.ft.?). i.e. SAME interior specs ? And can we get an interior color OTHER THAN BLACK ?

  4. What’s stupid is the guide says downpour Metallica cost extra but it’s the same paint code for chevy lakeshore blue Metallica at no extra charge.

    1. My favorite is GMC charging $495 for Onyx Black (GBA). The same build code they’ve had for years. Chevy it’s free (same Build Code GBA, they just drop the ‘onyx’) – as it should be since there’s nothing special about it….

    2. I believe Metallica is a rock band.

  5. Tony you are correct. There are many examples, in all models, where a no charge Chevy paint code is extra cost at GMC.

  6. To me, the redesigned 24 Acadia is a much better looking vehicle than the ugly redesigned 24 Traverse. This is from a proud 22 Traverse Premier owner who was looking forward to updating to the 24 Traverse, which I won’t be doing. Mainly due to the dumb looking rear side windows on the Traverse. The front clip on the Acadia is also nicer than the Traverse’s. If I do pull the trigger on a new vehicle in 24 I will be going with the Acadia.
