General Motors revealed the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 last February, pulling the sheets on a variety of important updates and changes, including a new exterior design, an overhauled cabin, and several new tech features as well. Now, we’re taking a brief walk around the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 with the following video from Cadillac Live.
Clocking in at a little under four minutes, the video covers all the basics of the refreshed XT4, including the exterior, interior, powertrain, and infotainment.
For those readers who may be unaware, Cadillac Live is an online virtual showroom service that provides customers with a digital tour of available Cadillac models. Initially launching in the U.S. in 2019, customers can participate in a one-on-one video tour of the vehicle of interest, hosted by a live Cadillac agent. Customers can also have their questions answered in real time.
This particular video is not interactive like the digital tour service described above, but Cadillac Live still provides a nice overview of the vehicle for those folks looking for the basics. There are three trim levels offered for the 2024 XT4, including Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport, with the model featured in the video being an example of the Premium Luxury trim.
The exterior of the model featured in the video is covered in Crystal White Tri-Coat paint, which does well to show off the restyled exterior. Highlights of the new design include a new grille, a new hood, new LED lighting, and a new rear end. Wheel sizing up to 20 inches in diameter is available, while three new colors join the lineup for the 2024 model-year refresh, specifically, Emerald Lake Metallic, Midnight Sky Metallic, and Deep Sea Metallic.
The interior of the crossover is finished in the Sedona and Jet Black colorway, and includes leather seating surfaces. Headlining the infotainment gear is a new 33-inch digital display that stretches across the dash in front of the steering wheel and above the center console.
As for the mechanical bits, the 2024 Cadillac XT4 is equipped with the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine as standard, putting down 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque through the GM nine-speed automatic transmission.

As a reminder, the Cadillac XT4 rides on the GM E2 platform, while production takes place at the GM Fairfax plant in Kansas.

Needs a Trifecta tune to get those power numbers up.
or the new 2.5T from the traverse would be a nice touch
If only Trifecta made a tune for this…
It’s been repeated ad nauseum in the forums on this site, but the ‘adequate’ LSY isn’t premium enough to command the price that GM’s asking for a moderately well-equipped Cadillac. For the competing brands, this is a base-spec powertrain, and it doesn’t even exceed expectations on the base trim level. Alas, I think the XT4 is too far along in its product cycle for alternate powertrains (the new 2.5T would be nice) to be considered.
While it might be too late at this point, but I really hope that the XT6 gets these updates. This will be especially desirable if it transitions to the C1 Long Wheelbase Platform.
9 speed auto. Pass.
SUV. Pass.
Forgot to fully paint it. Huge pass.
Nothing says premium like an engine/trans that doesn’t know what gear it should be in and ugly black plastic all over the outside. Even Mazda is finally getting the memo and all 2024 CX5’s now have painted moldings even on the cheapest ones.
The vertical front marker lights that angle over the top of the fenders …
An idea from Mack Trucks ?
GM is notorious for tricked-up styling “details” that actually detract from an overall appealing design.
Architect Frank Lloyd Wright, “Less is more.” .
This is all great news, But Maybe they could build the car I have had on order since May with the AS2 option
There was nothing mentioned in the video if the 2024 XT4 ride has been improved. I bought a new 2023 XT4 and it rides like a lumber wagon and sounds like a lumber wagon.
Bridgestone tires?
