For the new model year, the 2025 Cadillac CT5 is highlighted by a mid-cycle refresh that had been expected for some time, and will feature an updated exterior and interior. Now, GM Authority has learned when production of the revised luxury sedan is scheduled to commence.
GM Authority has learned from sources close to the matter that the start of regular production (SORP) of the 2025 CT5 is currently scheduled to kick off on April 2nd, 2024. To that end, production of the 2024 CT5 is expected to conclude on March 27th, 2024.
It’s worth noting that these dates are tentative in nature and subject to change at any point. In addition, the high-performance variants of the luxury sedan – which include the CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing – are on a different production schedule and will thus feature their own dates. As such, the aforementioned production start dates apply to the CT5 Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels.
As a reminder, the mid-cycle refresh of the Cadillac CT5 is most prevalent with the updated front fascia, which features new signature lighting with unbroken vertical lines and stacked LED headlamps reminiscent of the design found on the Cadillac CT4 and Cadillac CT6. Wheel sizes range from 18 inches to 20 inches.
More revisions can be found in the interior, where an all-new curving 33-inch-diagonal LED color display with 9K resolution is positioned front and center, and features a customizable user interface. Technology goodies include Google built-in with Google Assistant, Google Maps and Google Play, as well as OnStar and an available 5G Wi-Fi hotspot.
Under the hood, the 2025 Cadillac CT5 is equipped with the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, as standard fare. The twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 LGY gasoline engine, rated at 335 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque, is once again optional in the Premium Luxury trim. Meanwhile, the GM 10-speed automatic will be standard across the lineup, while RWD will be standard and AWD will be optional.
Of course, more information regarding the 2025 CT5-V and 2025 CT5-V Blackwing is still forthcoming.
Under the skin lines the GM Alpha 2 platform, while production will take place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.
