Here’s What To Expect From GMC In 2024

There’s just a few days left in the 2023 calendar year, so we’re looking ahead to the new year to see what we should expect from GM. We’ve already covered what we expect from Buick and Cadillac in 2024, so check out those articles for more information. Now, we’re covering the debuts and vehicle launches expected from GMC in 2024.

A refreshed GMC Yukon prototype.

Refreshed Yukon prototype

Early in the 2024 calendar year, we expect Big Red to pull the sheets on the refreshed 2025 Yukon. Although the refreshed was originally expected to debut for the 2024 model year, the 2025 Yukon is now the target for a long list of updates and changes, including a new design for the front and rear fascia, an overhauled cabin, a new turbodiesel engine option, and 5G connectivity. Check out everything we know and expect from the 2025 Yukon for more information.

2024 Acadia AT4

Later in the Spring, GMC will launch production of the 2024 Acadia. Initially breaking cover in September, the all-new Acadia was originally expected to hit production in January. Now, however, sources close to the matter indicate that the 2024 Acadia will in fact begin rolling off the line in March, per a GM Authority exclusive.

2025 Terrain prototype

Spring time will also see the introduction of the all-new 2025 Terrain, ushering in the compact crossover’s latest third generation. Highlights will include an overhauled exterior design, more off-road performance for the AT4 trim level, an all-new cabin space, a list of new tech features, and much more. Check out everything we know and expect from the 2025 Terrain for more information.

Finally, GMC will launch the all-electric 2025 GMC Sierra EV Denali in the Summer of 2024. First breaking cover in October of 2022, the Sierra EV Denali serves as the range-topper of the all-electric Sierra EV lineup, putting down an impressive 750 horsepower and 400 miles of range per charge. However, back in October, GM announced it would delay the launch of the Sierra EV Denali, as well as two other all-electric products. As such, the Sierra EV Denali is now expected to launch next Summer.

  1. GMC offers the best GM has to offer and in my mind is better quality than Jeep. They need to hire a good marketing firm to promote Arcadia as a Grand Cherokee rival. Terrain is way better than Compass now that Cherokee is gone

    1. Jeep is garbage. almost as bad as VW

      1. Only the cheaper jeep models. The Wrangler, Grand Cherokee, and Grand Wagoneer are excellent.

        1. True, Jeep Compass is Chrysler trash.

  2. When is GM going to release news about the 2025 Sierra ICE models? Are they going to be refreshed or sticking with the 2024 design?

    1. GM probably won’t give them another refresh like they received in 2022, part of the reason the 2025 models may get delayed is due to so much inventory of the very expensive; current top trim levels that have not moved off of Dealership Parking Lots and major incentives are needed get the 2023 and 2024 models sold, though sales overall for those trucks seem to be holding steady for now.

  3. GM has to take care of the Truck and Car that are having problems with the Computer Systems. My new GMC Truck with 2200 miles has been in the garage 3 times now . No radio , Front Camera needed replace.

    1. You speak the truth when it comes to the Infotainment System, my screen either froze as to where I couldn’t do anything with it or just simply Blacked Out, at first there was no solution other than me being told that I had to restart the vehicle in order for the computer to reset itself…..frustrating.

  6. I’m still waiting for my GMC Canyon Denali. I ordered in March , 2023 and still no word. My order has been switched to a 2024. Is Wentzville factory up and running? My dealer can’t get any word from GM about my order. Strange?

  7. Would be nice to see GM catch up with its competitors in the off-road segment. Right now they have nothing to offer up against Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco. Some may argue the Sierra / Silverado as “off-road” offerings….but neither of those are as capable as Tacoma / 4-Runner. C’mon GM…give us a true off-roader in 2024 that we can get excited about!

    1. GM has the ZR2 and Bison versions for trucks. I think they would argue the Hummer is the answer for the Wrangler and Bronco, though doubt many are truly cross shopping the Hummer against Jeep and Bronco. In reality, there likely isn’t a big enough market for GM to offer a true Wrangler competitor.

      1. Nobody is shopping for the Hummer period. It’s an EV.

  8. GMs tech is absolutely brutal. None if it works. Had a 22 high country and 23 Denali. Both had same problems. 3 screens to go thru at start up. Didn’t recognize apps. And much more to write. It’s embarrassing how bad their tech is. Salesman told me they hear about it from all their customers. I bought an old truck 21 with old tech and it works well. Do not buy until tech is fixed

  9. Nobody gives a hoot about the Sierra EV.

Where is the Canyon-based Jimmy? If it’s not here in 2024, Mary should be fired. She’s thrown all that cash towards EVs that nobody wants.

Meanwhile, the Bronco, Wrangler, and the ancient 4Runner remain wildly popular.

    1. The Bronco?, yeah popular with all of it’s engine failures.
