The 2024 Chevy Blazer EV introduces the latest chapter in the Blazer nameplate’s history as an all-electric crossover first debuted by GM in summer 2022.
With some trim levels currently in production, the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV online configurator now includes data on the rear-wheel-drive configuration of the RS trim, or RS RWD, joining the 2LT AWD and RS AWD for which GM Authority provided horsepower and torque figures previously.
According to the most recent information available on the RS RWD variant of the Chevy Blazer EV, the trim is equipped with a single electric motor developing 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. The powertrain is exactly the same as that currently used in the Cadillac Lyriq RWD and provides the same output as well.
The single-motor Blazer EV RS RWD outperforms the 2LT and RS all-wheel-drive variants with their dual-motor setup, rated at 288 horsepower and 333 pound-feet of torque. In contrast to the AWD models’ 85 kWh GM Ultium battery pack (RPO code EC5), the RS RWD is offered with the 102 kWh Ultium battery pack (RPO code EC6) as standard. Once again, this is the same battery pack found in the Cadillac Lyriq.
Check out the table below for a comparison of horsepower, torque, battery size, and other pertinent information for the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV powertrain across its trim levels:

Notably, GM has also released horsepower and torque figures for the lineup’s Super Sport model, the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV SS. The AWD configuration of the SS provides 557 horsepower and 648 pound-feet of torque, which, combined with Wide Open Watts or WOW mode, gives the trim level a 4-second zero to 60 mph time. A sport-tuned chassis and Brembo front brakes round out the major performance enhancements offered on the Blazer EV SS.
Also in the trim level lineup for the Blazer EV are two front-wheel-drive configurations, the 2LT FWD and the RS FWD. Availability dates for these trims are currently unknown, as are pricing and both horsepower and torque figures. Estimated driving range for the FWD Blazer trims is 293 miles on a single charge, longer than the AWD configurations’ EPA-certified 279-mile range, but shorter than the RS RWD trim’s EPA-certified 324 miles of range.
Slightly less than 20 units of the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV were delivered during Q3 2023, but dealer inventory is growing during the fourth quarter. Production of the electric crossover takes place at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.
