The 2024 GMC Yukon was originally thought likely to usher in the nameplate’s mid-cycle refresh, but this was postponed until the 2025 model year. Instead, the fifth-generation SUV’s fourth model year arrives with only a few updates, including several changes to the available Yukon paint colors.
Today, GM Authority is putting the spotlight on the available 2024 GMC Yukon paint colors.
GM dropped one of the previously available exterior paints from the lineup for 2024, Redwood Metallic (color code G48), leaving the SUV with nine total available exterior colors. Among the remaining Yukon paint colors for the 2024 model year, Summit White (color code GAZ) is the only no-charge option and is available across four of the five trim levels.
The other eight exterior colors are available at extra charge, with most priced at an additional $495. Volcanic Red Tintcoat (GNT) is priced at $645, while White Frost Tricoat (G1W) is available for an additional $1,095 on all trims except the base SLE. The table below shows availability of the colors across the five trim levels of the 2024 GMC Yukon (SLE, SLT, AT4, Denali, and Denali Ultimate):

Production of the 2024 GMC Yukon is now under way after being pushed back from its original November 6th start date, likely due to repercussions caused by the recent UAW strikes. The model year’s configurator is also live, with pricing starting at $58,200.
As usual, the 2024 model year Yukon is offered in two body configurations, including the standard-length GMC Yukon and the extended-length GMC Yukon XL. The standard body is 210 inches long and with 25.5 cubic feet of cargo room behind the third row, while the extended-length Yukon XL is 225.2 inches long and offers 41.5 cubic feet of cargo room behind the third row and approximately two more inches of third-row legroom.
The powerplant lineup motivating the 2024 Yukon consists of two gasoline engines and one diesel engine. These include the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine developing 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine rated at 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, and the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine cranking out 277 horses and 460 pound-feet of torque. The GM 10-speed automatic transmission provides cog swaps for all available engines.
Under the body panels, the 2024 GMC Yukon rides on the GM T1 platform, with production taking place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.
