Chevy commanded over half (56 percent) of total GM full-size SUV sales in the United States. However, buyers often cross-shop unibody crossovers, with some models being close to the size of their body-on-frame cousins, as is the case for the full-size Chevy Traverse crossover and Tahoe SUV.
Looking at combined GM utility vehicle sales, including body-on-frame SUVs and unibody crossovers sold by Chevy, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac, has Chevy still commanding over half of all sales, at 54 percent, with Chevy crossovers alone accounting for nearly half (45 percent) of the total.

While GM full-size SUV sales were down four percent to 71,519 units, overall GM utility vehicle sales – those of body-on-frame SUVs as well as crossovers – grew 23 percent to 328,171 units. Utility sales grew a healthy 27 percentage points faster compared to SUV sales alone, while SUV sales accounted for over a quarter of all utility deliveries at 26 percent.
It’s worth noting that GM derives a substantial amount of its revenue and resulting profit from full-size SUV sales, meaning that the vehicles are extremely important to the automaker’s financial health. In fact, it’s believed that these full-size models are GM’s most profitable products on a per unit basis, even more profitable than full-size trucks with which they share the T1 platform.

oops. raise MSRP some more. order some more high countries.
Way overpriced, lack of incentives, high interest rates.
Wait till after the new year . All that stock and people should remind themselves of dealers that tried to screw them , wouldn’t sell them , just saying . Dealerships are now going to pay the price for their bs tactics moving forward .
They’re never in stock.
Many buyers don’t want to order and wait.
When i was buying in 2022 they wouldnt order anything but a high country because “we save our allocations”. literally what they told me. they were milking the rich housewives. my z71 was legit the cheapest thing i could find at 68k. everything else was 83k + 995$ doc fee + whatever else.
now, looking again for something else and they are “we can order you anything you want!”.
i think ill wait some more.
Whoever told you that either a) knows nothing about consensus, allocations, constraints, and ordering or b) flat out lied to you. There’s no ‘saving’ allocations, you use it or lose it. Furthermore, over the last two years, with constraints, it’s impossible that all the could order was the High Country trim all the time. Frankly I’d say 90%+ of salespeople (and many sales managers) have zero clue about the ordering process – and I say that as someone who’s done ordering for dealerships for years.
How allocations work is dealer X gets 20 vehicles of Z model.. Dealer X will order the most pumped up msrp trims of that vehicle model. If they order a lower trim it still counts against that allocation. Therefore saving the allocation means exactly that – they are waiting for the person who will walk in and spend 85k vs 55k. Their profit margins on the 2 was in favor of the higher priced trim and equipment vehicle.
Because that’s literally what took place. You seem to take it at face value talking about what is possible. No, this is what they did, by choice so im not here talking about it being impossible. We all know that…
This was their policy. You tried to get a plain LS with cloth they told you no. I tried.
Wasn’t Arlington on strike during this quarter?
Great question! Yes, they were.
barely
Funny seeing all the GM Dealer hate
Try visiting a Hyundai or Kia store
They Start with a Dealer Addendum $5000 over MSRP on everything lol
Nice trucks but too expensive.
They say sales are down, but if you try to order one it takes months. The business model makes no sense.
You have got to be kidding me !
You couldn’t find a suburban, or a Yukon xl, or larger SUV’s!
So yes their sales numbers are down ! I was looking for a suburban for over a year and they were like gold, and the dealers tacked on premium raises as well !
