Just a month after a senior company executive announced that Chevrolet’s iconic truck will finally arrive in Argentina next year, General Motors has just confirmed the upcoming arrival of the 2024 Chevy Silverado to the South American country.
The automaker reported that it will present the 2024 Chevy Silverado this week at the annual automotive fair in the Argentine town of Cariló, confirming that the full-size pickup is one of Chevrolet‘s novelties for next year in Argentina’s domestic market. In this sense, the 2024 Silverado will be displayed at the brand’s official stand at the event from December 26th to February 13th of next year.
“Cariló is transformed into an open-air automobile show and it is a unique opportunity that we love to use to serve our customers throughout Argentina,” said Commercial Director of GM Argentina, Raúl Mier. “In this edition, we are going to once again excite fans of Chevrolet pickups with our top expression in that segment, the legendary Silverado, for which we are working intensely to incorporate it into our product line as soon as possible,” he added.
Notably, this is the third time that GM Argentina presents the fourth-generation Chevy Silverado at the Cariló automotive show after having shown the truck at the event for two consecutive years, starting with its initial debut during the southern summer of 2019-2020 and its subsequent presentation with a diesel powertrain in the following 2020-2021 edition. On this occasion, the 2024 Chevy Silverado arrives in the country with the model’s mid-cycle update.
Although the company did not offer any details about the specific configuration of the pickup that it will present this week in Cariló, it is expected that the 2024 Chevy Silverado will be exhibited with the variant already approved for the Brazilian market, the Crew Cab High Country. At least that’s what the first official image from GM Argentina suggests, as it looks identical to the model arriving in Brazil.
The 2024 Chevy Silverado will be on display at the Chevrolet stand in Parque Cariló in Argentina for practically the entire summer season in the southern country, from this week until the first half of February 2024. In addition to the static display, The Bow Tie brand will offer two test drive loops, urban and off-road, so that users can experience the benefits of the current Chevy Tracker, Equinox, Montana, S10 and TrailBlazer.

on the background of all taking place there, they will probably sell 1 of them.
I was thinking the same thing, as the Argentine peso was just drastically devalued. Are these Silverados imported from the US or built locally?
gm does make the cruze and tracker there but thats it. which is quite weird since GM has been in argentina since 1922..
i can guarantee you they are overflow units from brazil which is usually how a lot of GM things end up in argentina these days. i think they treat it as one market now but dont cite me on that
