The sixth-generation Chevy Camaro has officially come to an end, with the final unit rolling off the line at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan more than two weeks ago. However, before its exit, the sixth-gen Camaro offered several interesting special edition model variants, including the competition-inspired Garage 56 Edition. Now, we’re checking out what the 2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Garage 56 Edition looks like in the real world thanks to the following GM Authority photo gallery.
Although we’ve see real-world examples of the 2024 Chevy Camaro before, including an example of the Collector’s Edition, this is our first time seeing the Garage 56 edition out in the wild. It’s unclear exactly where this particular unit is located, but by the look of it, it’s likely at a dealer.
For those readers who may be unaware, the 2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Garage 56 Edition is inspired by the NASCAR Garage 56 Camaro that ran at this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race, and as such, it’s equipped with a long list of motorsport-flavored enhancements.
Chief among these is a Riptide Blue Metallic paint finish (paint code GJV), white racing stripes, and gold accents, as well as aero bits like a set of dive planes, a wicker bill spoiler, and the front fascia from the ZL1 1LE package. And of course, we can’t forget the Hendrick Motorsports badging added to the sail panels.
As for the powerplant, all Garage 56 units are based on the 2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1, and as such, each is equipped with the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine. Rated at a maximum of 650 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 650 pound-feet of torque at 3,600 rpm, there’s plenty of go to back that racey exterior treatment, while the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires provide loads of grip to complement.
To note, the Garage 56 package is priced at $11,995 over the price of a standard 2024 Camaro ZL1.

Wow. Camaro is going out on a high.
12k for that ,six generations nothing but issue after issue, hope the corvette reliable is better
Sorry to say, but the 6th gen platform has proved to be a very reliable platform, especially when adding power to the LT1 and LT4.
Charles, YOU HAVE NOT A CLUE OF THE COMMENT YOU MADE….REMEMBER…ITS BETTER TO REMAIN SILENT AND SOUGHT A FOOL ..THEN TO SPEAK UP AND REMOVE ALL DOUBT!!!!!
Nice.
Like the 1LE rear deck spoiler. Just missing the top quarter panel pieces on both sides.
ZL1 is such an amazing car. Had a 2019 2SS 1LE in red hot. There were 3 things I liked better on my car than the Z. The rear spoiler, the colour matched one on the Z didn’t due the back end justice, the black mirrors and the 1LE rims are more aggressive and less busy. With this configuration, the Z looks good. Just my opinion.
@Jonathan Lopez (author of this article)- The pictures of the Garage 56 ZL1 that were used in this article about the Garage 56 ZL1 were pulled from my post that was first posted on the Camaro Fest Facebook group on Wednesday December 27th as I wanted to share the exciting news of having the opportunity to be able to see the Garage 56 ZL1 Camaro up close and in person. I am the original photographer of the photos used in this article for the Garage 56 ZL1 and somehow they were pulled from my original Facebook post for use on the GM authority site. I figured I’d let you and everyone else reading the article know where the pictures originally came from.
Didn’t they just build 56 of these? Good luck ever owning or even seeing one. Lower case gm drops the ball & kills Camaro again. Meanwhile, Mustang here through 2028 model and looks like a rear wheel drive ICE Charger coupe back soon with turbo Hurricane inline six with options over 400 and 500 hp back on the streets soon.
Depressing that anyone (many) who wanted to purchase a 2024 Camaro were not able to……….money in hand, space in the garage……..order never picked up.
Ordered a 2023 2SS 1LE in red hot in April ‘23. Salesman calls me in July and says the chances of your car being built are slim to none. But don’t cancel yet because a miracle could happen. Salesman calls me mid August and says, WOW, they’re gonna build it……..but it’s gonna be a 2024, you don’t get your GM retiree discount and the car is $11,000 more. So the salesman and I walked over to the reception desk and I pulled out my bank card, handed it to the nice lady behind the counter and said, “Please refund my $5,000 deposit please.” I thought building trucks and cars for GM for 32 years meant something. Oh well, guess I’ll wait a year when all these fixed rate mortgage holders have to refinance from 2% to 8-10%. Got a feeling there’s gonna be a lot of toys coming for sale in the near future……. and cheap too.
