About Chevrolet Silverado 1500
The 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 arrived as the fourth model year of the fourth-generation nameplate, introducing a few changes and updates over the refreshed 2022 Silverado. One such change is that 2023 Silverado Duramax models will be equipped with the new 3.0L I6 LZ0 engine turbodiesel “baby Duramax,” replacing the 3.0L I6 LM2.
The big news for 2023 is the introduction of the even more off-road capable, first-ever 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2 Bison.
Last month, the 2023 Chevy Silverado rated poorly in updated IIHS crash tests, specifically back-seat safety.
For 2024, the Chevy Silverado 2.7L engine is called TurboMax, though Chevy is now using the trademarked name when marketing the 2023 model. Also, the 2024 Silverado ZR2 offers the LZ0 Duramax diesel engine to provide more low-end torque while off-roading, joining the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine for available powerplants.
Also, the 2024 Silverado 1500 offers a new drop-in bedliner. Additionally, the 2024 Silverado ZR2 is available with new beadlock-capable wheels.
Here’s everything that’s new and different with the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500.
Pricing details for the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 show that, compared to the previous model year, WT trims are now $500 more expensive, High Country trims are now $600 more expensive, and ZR2 and ZR2 Bison prices are down $1,600. The price drop for ZR2 and ZR2 Bison models is due to the fact that the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine is now fitted as standard, whereas the more-expensive naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine was the exclusive powertrain offered, which is now optional.
In August, the 2024 Silverado 1500 received a destination freight charge increase of $100 to bump the total to $1,995.
The Chevy Silverado 1500 now offers a ZR2 Spec Multimatic DSSV Shock System accessory for the 2019 model year or later Silverado 1500, with a design and tuning intended to provide the truck with improved off-road performance.
The online configurator tool is live for the 2024 Silverado and still live for the 2023 Silverado.

What a difference a year makes.
January 2023, I looked at a Silverado, they were still “asking” $7500 above sticker. Met with the sales manager, told him I was only buying at supplier pricing, which he readily agreed to as long as it was in stock. They didn’t have a single truck on the lot with an integrated trailer-brake control, so I ended up buying a CPO GM full size SUV for around the same money, and slightly under the KBB fair market value a couple weeks later (at a different dealership).
About a week after I did the purchase, the sales manager called and offered to order anything I wanted at supplier minus rebates. They also offered to install a 3rd party TBC on any truck they had for no-charge.
Put very little faith in KBB. If you want to see a sales managers face turn red ask them to see the BLACK book pricing. Back in the day when you bought a KBB at a parts house it was consumer orientated information, today it is owned by Cox which is the largest owner of auto auctions and the Autotrader website. Where does Cox make its money, its all from dealers and that is where its loyalty lies.If you think you are getting a “Great” price on a vehicle, think again a great price is a trade in price on a “average” rated vehicle plus what you think is fair for dealer profit.
Available in the Miami market?
What’s up with the Miami market stipulations? Part of the article says national??? Confusing article but it just shows how overpriced these trucks are in the first place!😡😡😡😡
You need to call around to dealers and give them your zip code to see what rebates apply to you and the body and trim you are after.
when 3 dealers give you the same #s you have the right info.
Re the Costco $1000 incentive on Silverado: your article states it’s only for 1500’s. However on the Costco website and the certificate I printed out it states it’s applicable to both the 2500 and 3500 as well.
Are there a lot of 2023 models still on the lots? Thought 2024 was in mass production.
There was a $200 dollar option for All Terrain tires included in my total vehicle price, the tires that were on the vehicle were Goodyear Fortitude HT instead of AT tires, has anyone else had the same experience, the dealer is contacting GM about this matter, they have had some problems with the tires on the AT4.
Fortitude HT is GM considers altering tires. They are not altering tires and c***** tires at that. You are lucky they only got you $42100 they got me 4350 because I got the raised white letters. Another GM rip-off.
