During the week of December 25th, 2023, all GM North American assembly plants will be closed in observance of the holidays. However, quite a few General Motors plants will be closed for an extra week into the new year for maintenance. Now, the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan that produces the Cadillac CT4 and Cadillac CT5 is the latest facility to be temporarily shuttered for scheduled maintenance.
According to a report from Automotive News, the GM Lansing Grand River plant will closed during the week of January 1st, 2024. Production at the facility will resume on the week of January 8th, 2024.
It’s worth noting that only the CT4 and CT5 are left at the GM Lansing Grand River plant, as production of the Chevy Camaro ended on December 14th. While General Motors has no immediate plans to replace the Bow Tie brand’s iconic muscle car, the Detroit-based automaker noted that “this is not the end of Camaro’s story.”
As a reminder, the two Caddy luxury sedans are available with a wide range of engine options for every buyer. The Cadillac CT4 is offered with three powerplant choices, including the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, rated at 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque (or 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque in the CT4-V), and the twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 LF4 gasoline engine, rated at 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque.
Meanwhile, the CT5 is available with the aforementioned LSY engine as well as the twin-turbo 3.0L V6 LGY gasoline engine, rated at 335 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque. Notably, the CT5-V also utilizes the LGY engine, albeit in a different tune, where it makes 360 horsepower. Finally, the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, rated at 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque, is featured in the high-performance in the CT5-V Blackwing.
In regard the structure, the CT4 and CT5 ride on the GM Alpha 2 platform, while North American production takes place at the aforementioned GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

If production on the CT-5/BW got any lower, it would be non-existent.
