Just one month after announcing the expansion of its range of electric vehicles with the global debut of the all-new Cadillac Optiq in China, Cadillac has just officially revealed its ‘LOVE’ IQ EV portfolio in the Asian country.
General Motors’ luxury brand announced that it will expand its offering of fully electric vehicles in China with the formation of the ‘LOVE’ IQ EV portfolio, an acronym that represents the initials of the zero-emission model names in the order of their official introduction in the Chinese market. As such, the manufacturer revealed that Cadillac’s upcoming ‘LOVE’ EV portfolio in the country will comprise of the Lyriq, Optiq, Vistiq and Escalade IQ.
“As the world’s largest EV market, China is strategically important for Cadillac,” said Vice President of Cadillac China, Tim Heile, in a previous official statement. “By the end of next year, Cadillac will introduce more new EVs in China in addition to a rejuvenated internal combustion engine vehicle portfolio as the brand strives to fulfill customers’ diverse preferences and reinvent luxury mobility,” he added.
Cadillac China took advantage of the all-new Cadillac Vistiq world premiere in the United States to confirm the arrival of the three-row crossover in the domestic market next year, as well as the introduction of the Cadillac Escalade IQ as the brand’s next flagship vehicle, which had not yet been announced locally. Together with the Optiq, both models make up the three EVs that Cadillac will launch in China during 2024.
In this sense, the brand’s marketing team decided to officially use the LOVE acronym to identify the initial Cadillac IQ EV portfolio in China, communicating the passion that the range of electric utility vehicles seeks to awaken among Chinese customers. In addition to the Cadillac Lyriq already on sale, the Cadillac Optiq will be launched in China in a matter of weeks and the all-new Cadillac Vistiq is planned for the end of next year – all models manufactured in-house.
Meanwhile, the launch of the all-new Cadillac Escalade IQ in the Asian country is also scheduled for the end of next year, but as a vehicle imported from the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan. Cadillac’s upcoming LOVE IQ EV portfolio will complement current internal combustion models to form the widest and most diversified range of luxury utility vehicles in the Chinese market. More details and official images of the products will be revealed later.

Stealing Tesla’s “S3XY” I see.

I really don’t understand why GM brands don’t adopt the same design philosophies as the Europeans. What I mean is similar looking vehicle in different sizes. I think the Escalade IQ is the design that the SUV’s need to follow, and a less dramatic design of the Celestiq for the sedans.
“Stealing Tesla “S3XY”?” 😂 That Sexy was just as corny as the cornball following cult that Elon has. Don’t put Tesla and Cadillac EVER again in the same sentence as long as you live. Please and thank you. A bunch of computer geeks. He tried to make it a proper E but Bimmer wasn’t having it – with the 3 and BMW saying hold my beer. You might have money but YOU COULD NEVER buy that trademarked name for your car from us. Bye! ✌🏽 😆
@ChefCJ
Ford owns the trademark for “E” not BMW.
STOP WITH EVs
You know that crap will fly in China ( new money has no taste) but in North America, dump the (iQ – oh my, I’m so smart and I make smart vehicles decisions) and bring back the Seville , Deville, Eldorado , la Salle and, Fleetwood and whatever else.
Also, Cadillac is not Lexus! Don’t take a chev and change a few body panels to make Cadillac Optiq. It will still be a chev with all the necessary Chevy cust cutting unlike Lexus-Toyota.
They all have the same grill -good, but the rest of the cars are all different. Not consistent.
The “IQ” naming bothers me the most. It’s very trailer park
Now they’re copying Subaru?
LOVE IQ?
Pass.
Will they have a vehicle model below the Optic?
Can they use Ioniq so they can use (I Love) HaHa
Still think these names are extremely Lame and they should have stuck with XT and CT
