All-New Cadillac Vistiq EV Officially Confirmed For China

Following the global debut of the all-new 2026 Cadillac Vistiq on December 14th in the United States, SAIC-GM has officially confirmed Cadillac‘s upcoming three-row zero-emissions crossover for China.

General Motors’ main joint venture in China confirmed that the all-new Cadillac Vistiq is the second of three all-electric vehicles that the luxury brand will introduce over the next year in the Asian country, which represents the largest volume market in Cadillac worldwide. As such, the new Vistiq will continue the expansion of the IQ model portfolio in China following the Cadillac Lyriq and the imminent local launch of the all-new Cadillac Optiq.

Notably, the all-new Cadillac Vistiq is Cadillac’s fourth electric utility vehicle based on the Ultium architecture to be introduced globally, and the third of them to be officially launched in the Chinese market. In fact, SAIC-GM formally included the Cadillac Vistiq in the diagram with the brand’s domestic model lineup in China, anticipating that the model will be manufactured locally like its two smaller EV siblings.

As with the announcement for the U.S. and Canadian markets, the confirmation of the all-new Cadillac Vistiq for China did not include any equipment details, powertrain configuration or specific timeline for its local launch. Instead, SAIC-GM announced that the Vistiq will be part of Cadillac’s upcoming ‘LOVE’ IQ EV portfolio in the country comprised of the Lyriq, Optiq, Vistiq and Escalade IQ – arriving late next year.

Positioned above the Lyriq, the Cadillac Vistiq is a midsize, three-row family crossover that introduces its own interpretation of the brand’s new design language. This includes an imposing front end with a larger, more upright grille module, a stylized body with organic lines and a square-shaped rear end distinguished by its exclusive light design, as well as a less inclined rear window than that of the rest of Cadillac’s EV utilities.

The all-new Cadillac Vistiq will be officially introduced and launched in China during the 2024 calendar year – most likely as a 2025 model-year vehicle, to further reinforce the brand’s strong global zero-emission utility portfolio. All details of the new Vistiq, as well as its interior design and specific configuration for the Chinese market, will be announced closer to the launch date.

    1. Each of the Cadillac EV’s have already been announced as coming to America, prior to Chinese introduction. And they won’t be getting the Escalade IQ

    2. I bought Cadillac all my life since my late 20’s. I’m 62 now. I will no longer buy cadillac since they are catering to the God awful country of China. They seem to produce vehicles only gir that awful country that caused the pandemic. I will not buy Cadillacs SUVs or electric vehicles. I’m not longer supporting Cadillac which I was a loyal buyer. I will buy another brand

  2. China, China, China, just move the damn factory and get it over with. Either that or build something for America for a change.

    1. They already have two Ultium factories there, with a third under construction.

And they’re also building EVs for America as well because it’s not an either/or proposition.

  3. Stop with all the China talk, sick of it! As others have said, tell us what’s happening for America!
Cadillac IS America’s car! I hope GM will not forget their great base HERE! I hope they reconsider forcing loyalists like me, to accept the fact that I may have purchased my last Cadillac…!

  8. Guys, if China bother you so much then why are you reading anything about them GM related?

Based on the comments, some of you don’t read various stories on this sight closely and run directly to the comments section with ill-advised input. It was already explained that most of the models China is getting to be built in China while North America will get ours “built here”. So don’t know why you care so much anyhow if you are annoyed by China?

In business, you go where the opportunity is at and take advantage of it what GM and other American automakers are doing.

  10. The essence of Cadillac has been lost, they now look like cars from Korea. They are terrifically boring to look at, unfortunately the glory days are now behind us. Go Cadillac and kiss some Chinese ass

    1. I liked Rob’s comment. I happen to agree with him. I am sadden to see that Cadillac is only designing and making vehicles by for China. I am tired of that. I will not buy a Cadillac again. I’m on my 8th Cadillac, a CT6 premium Luxury. They no longer make big cars for the customers who bought them and remained loyal to Cadillac. Since they only care about China and their electric cars which I wonder buy, I will no longer buy cadillac. The management needs to take a step back and re-evaluate their business and focus on the USA who made General Motors possible. Yes Cadillac is baking ugly vehicles and lost their identity and their way. Good bye to Cadillac.
