The 2024 Chevy Colorado introduces a bevy of updates and changes over the all-new 2023 model year, the latter of which launched the nameplate’s current third generation. Now, interested fans and potential customers can spec the 2024 Chevy Colorado using the official online configurator at Chevy’s website.
The 2024 Chevy Colorado configurator lists a total of five trim levels, including WT (Work Truck), LT, Trail Boss, Z71, and finally, the range-topping ZR2 off-roader.
With regard to exterior styling, the 2024 Chevy Colorado presents the same updated design introduced by the 2023 model year. There are a total of eight exterior colors offered, including (relevant paint code listed in parentheses):
- Harvest Bronze Metallic (GXN)
- Sterling Gray Metallic (GXD)
- Sand Dune Metallic (GTL)
- Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
- Glacier Blue Metallic (GLT)
- Nitro Yellow Metallic (GCP)
- Black (GBA)
- Summit White (GAZ)
There are also three interior colorways offered, including:
- Jet Black (available for WT, Trail Boss, and LT)
- Jet Black / Adrenaline Red (available for Z71)
- Jet Black / Artemis (available for ZR2)
Compared to the preceding 2023 model year, the 2024 Chevy Colorado replaces the eight-inch Driver Information Center / gauge cluster (RPO code URO) offered previously with a larger 11-inch Driver Information Center (RPO code URF), the latter of which is equipped as standard across the range. GM Authority was the first to report this update back in July.
Also notable is the addition of the all-new Colorado ZR2 Bison Edition package (RPO code ULV), which bundles together a bevy of off-road-oriented equipment, including several components from the off-road specialists at American Expedition Vehicles (AEV). Highlights include AEV-spec steel bumpers (front and rear), auxiliary off-road lights, AEV wheel flares, 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels, Multimatic Jounce Control Dampers, and AEV skid plates.
As for the mechanical bits, the 2024 Chevy Colorado deletes the mid-range Turbo Plus 2.7L I4 L3B engine option offered previously. As such, customers have two engine options at their disposal, including the Turbo 2.7L I4 L2R gasoline engine, rated at 237 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, and the TurboMax 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, rated at 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. Both powerplants connect to the second-generation GM eight-speed automatic transmission.
Under the skin, the 2024 Chevy Colorado continues to ride on the updated 31XX-2 platform. Production takes place at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri.

You can still get trial boss under 40k
The LT needs nicer wheels and the WT should have the option to upgrade to a silver alloy design like Ford does with the Ranger. An there needs to be a higher nicer trim level than the gaudy blacked out offroad ZR2 as that should not be a top trim in any Chevy model!
And, there should be an option to have a front passenger seat with the same options, features, range of motion as the driver seat. It’s completely ridiculous that this is not available on ANY of the Colorado trim levels, and that if you want this, you have to buy a GMC Canyon.
That’s what the Canyon Denali is for.
Has anyone heard what they are doing with the weak roof?
How is doesn’t affct trucks with the sun roof
Thee roof issue is on a handful of Silverados, not the Colorado
Yes, Travis they are buying a Toyota !!!!! LOL !!
You can put the option of a V6 in the Colorado I will not buy a four-cylinder. I had three Colorado and they were all V6 I pull a 3200 pound trailer and I pulled excellent I don’t know why you stop using the V6 but a lot of people want to be six that’s why you’re not selling a lot of the trucks
The Turbomax is more reliable and has better power output. You old timers can’t keep up with the latest innovations.
The 2 primary changes on truck (the driver info cluster and HO engine) are the perfect changes to an awesome truck.
Yes this truck is awesome! On paper! The best thing they can do is build and deliver some to dealers . Let me touch one and drive it. Then I can finally decide if I want to own it. By ordering one with my exact specifications.
