2024 Chevy Camaro Collector Edition Arrives In Mexico

First announced in a video dedicated to the sixth generation of the Camaro in March of this year, the 2024 Chevy Camaro Collector Edition has just officially arrived in Mexico.

General Motors launched the 2024 Chevy Camaro Collector Edition this week in Mexico, where a limited number of units of the special farewell version of the current generation of Chevrolet’s iconic muscle car will arrive. The 2024 Camaro Collector Edition is the latest variant to be introduced and is responsible for ending the sixth-generation Camaro’s production run in style.

“Camaro has been an example of Chevrolet’s high-performance DNA. We prepare to say goodbye to the current generation of Camaro knowing how much this product means to our customers, employees and racing fans,” said Chevrolet Marketing Manager at GM Mexico, Ángel Pacheco. “The 2024 Camaro Collector Edition was designed to say a big send-off to this model,” he said.

In particular, the 2024 Chevy Camaro Collector Edition arrives in Mexico to celebrate the history of the model, with two versions in the range-topping SS and ZL1 trims. Both variants are equipped with a special customization package that pays homage to the first-generation Camaro and the “Panther” codename of the original program, including unique moldings and badging on the body – painted gloss black on the SS and matte black on the ZL1.

In addition to notable differences in exterior design, the two distinctive versions of the 2024 Chevy Camaro Collector Edition also maintain unique powertrains. The SS trim comes standard with the naturally aspirated 6.2L LT1 V8 engine with 455 horsepower and 455 pound-feet of torque, while the ZL1 equips the supercharged 6.2L LT4 V8 with 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. Both are mated to GM’s 10-speed automatic transmission.

In fact, 20 of the 50 units of the 2024 Camaro ZL1 Collector Edition established for export markets will arrive in Mexico. Here are the prices of the special farewell editions of the Camaro in Mexico:

  • 2024 Camaro SS Collector Edition: 1,414,900 pesos (about $81,360 USD at the current exchange rate)
  • 2024 Camaro ZL1 Collector Edition: 2,314,900 pesos ($133,230 USD)

  1. So basically $52,000 for the supercharger, I have a 2016 hemi-shaker 392 challenger, and a 2022 Silverado ZR2, that’s $128,000 for 2 , I thought about it, but both of mine are pd off, sorry I don’t see value in it

  2. What a joke. Can’t/won’t even meet demand for these Limited Edition models in the US, yet sending them to another country. Probably an even bigger cash grab than the dealer add on’s to sticker here. BTW, Mustang available through the 2028 model year. Another big mistake dropping the Camaro again by little, lower case gm.

  3. Davy, every model year. each country where any given model is sold, comes to the planning committee and declare how many vehicles they want; if they want them all in one shipment or monthly; which options, packages and color.
So if Mexico gets 20 Camaro ZL1 collector edition is because Mexico “separated” the order since perhaps March / April when the 24MY was scheduled for production with more detail.
So I read in a Magazine that Mexico ordered 20 ZL1’s and 100 SS’s. I do not think that the US orders cannot be full filled because Mexico ordered 120 cars,
Do not know how many did Canada ordered, or Brazil. This all comes to poor planning.

  6. GM is no different than any other big business. They only care about making more money Period. Not surprised, even the US government chooses Americans last. It’s really sad being a car guy and seeing one of the last top muscle cars being made and sold anywhere than America first. To be honest I left GM as a teenager for Dodge and never looked back. Mopar or no car.

  8. Thanks guys. More important to send the cars to Mexico than build one for someone in the states who ordered the car AS SOON AS YOU GUYS ANNOUNCED IT last summer.

I’ll never purchase another gm product.

    Scrags.
